DJ King Sams - I Love U No More (Rmx) ft. Bobby V., NORE & Miss Dade County
Artist: DJ King Sams
Producer: DJ King Sams
Album: Untitled (TBD)
Label: Original Gangstaz Music
If you’re a DJ in Florida, chances are you feel immense pressure to measure up to Best of the Booth winner Khaled, whose ability to bring big-names together is unrivaled; Quest, Christion, and GQ have tried, but so far none have been able to achieve the success of Mr. We The Best. Khaled may have met his match, however, in Miami-Dade County veteran DJ King Sams, whose debut Booth feature is the remix to his well-hyped single I Love U No More. While Bobby V‘s hook and N.O.R.E.‘s verse are retained from the original, this remix adds a female perspective in Miss Dade County, who lets her ex know that she’ll do just fine without the luxuries he provided while they were together. King Sams might not quite match Khaled’s uncanny knack for assembling stars, but this record proves he’s got the production chops to set off a chain reaction in the club.

This is not bad, but it's not something I would play again. IDK why exactly. The production is quite cheesy. Nah....I don't dig.

I kinda like the hook, but it sounded too high for Bobby V (you're not JT, Bobby). The production is OK, but not very interesting. NORE's verse was just OK, I was expecting a lot more out of him after his last DJ Booth feature. Miss Dade County was the one whose voice worked best over the production and her verse was solid, so it was a good addition for the remix.

After seeing what Khaled was able to do with some real good connections, every DJ in the world thinks they need to make large collaborative tracks. Why?
Credit where credit is due, Sams (unlike Khaled) produced this track. Although the production needs a lot of work, its the feature work where this one falls slightly short. BV, NORE and MDC just don't mesh well at all. |

Call me crazy...but I base a lot of my ratings on whether or not the song makes me dance in my seat, bob my head, etc. This one succeeded on that level...therefore, I like it and would listen again. The average listener doesn't give a shyte about production, etc. as long as it makes you want to hit the floor, right?!?!? :)

DJ King Sams has some hell fire production on this joint. I like the beat and the overall composition of the track.
Bobby Valentino, again, carries the hook very well. NORE's verse is cool, & Miss Dade County was a nice touch as many DJs do not feature female artists on most compilations. However, her flow was ok at most. Very basic and no real lyrical structure. but I don't suspect she is out to be the best lyricist, so that's fine. |
