You know what they say, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. So if you’re DJ Khaled and you drop a star-studded banger that blows up the charts, and then you do it again, and it blows up the charts again, why would you stop? All of that was a long way of saying that Khaled’s got a new single, Take It To The Head, and sure enough it’s a star-studded banger. Frequent production partners The Runners provide a synthy hip-pop beat that when paired with Chris Brown’s hook give Head its catchy appeal. On the rapper end of the spectrum, Rick Ross kicks off the festivities with a typically Bawsed out verse, followed by an offering from an atypically subdued Nicki Minaj and then closed off with Lil Wayne, who’s also apparently in a relaxed mood. It’s not exactly the song that will change the world, but Khaled’s not looking to make music history, he’s looking to blow up the charts yet again. So how about it DJBooth Nation, is Take It To The Head Khaled’s next hit? Regardless, we should all know what to expect from Khaled’s upcoming, currently unscheduled album, Kiss the Ring.

Khaled does it again. This is gonna be as big as I'm On One last year, I wish Drake jumped on the track, but this ish is hot. This has summertime hit written all over it.

The funny thing about the track is the only thing DJ Khaled did was scream his name at the start, The Runners produced this. I can see the appeal but Nicki annoyed me, couldn't really take it seriously.

It is exactly what you expect from a Khaled track. Chris did his thing as per usual. Beat was knocking. I definitely think the raps were average at best, though I can't say I expected much more judging by Wayne and Nicki's output lately.... It's no I'm On One but it'll do well on my iPod and on the billboard charts.....
Also I feel like after Lil Wayne closed with his Young moola baby, the beat should've come back! That would've been dope because the Runners did their thing! |

Aside from the fact that khalid shouldn't rap, I was quite happy with the entirety of this track. Production is completely on point. Bet Drake wishes he was on this one. Breezy does a fine job. Rick Ross holds up. Looks like Nicki can still rap despite her roman reloaded setbacks. And Wayne just killed it.

all the star kicks in this track I'm sorry I expect more, despite the madness people may hype I think this track is mediocre and I'm On One was better. I don't always care who is on the track as long as quality follows suit, I think better can be produced.
