DJ Khaled singles feature an average of five guest artists. How did we come to that conclusion? Well, it’s very simple, my friends. Add up Holla At Me (5), Born and Raised (3), We Takin’ Ova (6), I’m So Hood (4) and Out Here Grindin’ (7), and divide by five. With this in mind, it comes as a surprise that Khaled’s newest single, the second from his forthcoming We Global album, only features two artists. Over an epically-scorching production from the Khaled-managed duo The Runners, industry heavyweights T-Pain and Kanye West do as the song’s title suggests and Go Hard. Despite the overused auto-tune effect, Teddy smashes the song’s hook, and Kanye drops lyrical bombs at the end of both his verses. We Global drops September 16.
Complete 180 from 'Good Life', this song does exactly what the title says. I've came to terms to accept the voicebox and I know appreciate it, but I will NEVER accept Dj Khaled's pointless dialogue and yelling attempt to make money. Anyway, chorus is on point here except for a couple notes that were too high. You dont see Kanye on many of these hard bangers (minus Put On), but he does really well on here with the voice box (verse 2). I'm gonna be reluctant to give this higher than a 3 right now before I let it grow on me a little bit. Overall pretty good track, but definetely could have been better.
kind of gettin tired of the voice box, but this is pretty sweet. T-pain always sounds like that, and kanye did it on "Put On" so it's not that bad. Chorus is nice, beat is bangin and overall a 4.
This could of been better. T-Pain's hook is solid and the whole song is pretty good but why use the voice box kanye. he should of went without it. Banger
Okay. This is a bittersweet feeling for me. It's Kanye West. That's a plus. But then it's DJ Khaled...that's a minus. Then it's T.Pain, that 's a neutral....then it's a generic sounding Khaled beat....that's a minus...but then it's clever amped wordplay, despite the voice box, which cancels each other out and makes the Kanye verse neutral. Therefore, this is a decent track, but maybe the worst one I've heard Kanye spit on. Kanye is interchangeable with Lupe Fiasco on in the #1 spot of my favorite rapper of all time list, so do not get me wrong. I rocks with Kanye. But I'm feeling some of the new stuff he is dropping ever since Graduation has been wack. Any guest verses he has done from Really Doe's "Plastic" to "Put On" have been pretty generic (maybe with an exception for his awesome verse on Estelle's "American Boy". His lyrical presence is losing integrity and that factor of "wow". Now, maybe this opinion is biased because I feel DJ Khaled singles or "hood" Jeezy joints are low-grade hip hop, but that's what I feel. I know he want to get back connected with the "hood" people and do some of these joints, but I rather he bring them up to his swagger level than stoop to their sub-par digital beats and ignorant direction with the music. So with that being said, I give this track a 3. It wasn't that exciting to me. The beat was low-class, the voice box was not needed and simply to sum it up, Kanye can come better than this. Point blank.
DJ Khaled is the lamest dude I can think of. As Jay-Z says "All these ni**az taking credit for the work that I put in." The song should be "Go Hard by Kanye ft. T-Pain produced by The Runners, oh and then that annoying hollerin' bit**." Hey but on another note, Kanye was alright. He didn't need the voice box but that wasn't too bad. T-Pain was hot. Generic beat.
I am with you guys...I am pretty tired of hearing Khaled yell in the beginning of these tracks. I like the beat on here and T-Pain does his thing on the Chorus. Kanye has always been nice; but I think he is starting to take his rap game to an even higher level after the last album. All of his albums are great though; just go back and listen to one today and you will be going crazy all over again. This is hot though and I can call this a BANGER!
dammm this song went rly hard kanye n tpain never thought i see then in a colab but they are n they did it hard! lol yah same here khaled is startin to get anoyyin but he do bring us these sick colabs soo i can bare wit the yellin.... i cant wait to see a remix to this song.. deff a classic for me
very nice but the runners pretty much used the same beat that they gave to rick ross called get love with some minor changes...but this song is nice...kanye and pain do the damn thang....runners....ahhhh!!!!
I was about to ask you to explain me what's the function of Dj Khaled...but well I see everybody is tired of hearing his yelling at the beginning! I quote michaelhannah...I'd often like to make such long comments, but I can't express myself like I'd want to in English! This track has one of the most beautiful productions I've ever heard...it's really super, I am impressed! But the voice box covered every voice. That I hate it it's not a novelty, but sometimes I can stand it...unfortunately here it has been overused, I can't see a point in this! The song becomes confused, the voices become noises! To me it's 5 stars for the production, 1 for the vocals...in rotation
for those of you who don't know, this is a re-worked version of the Get Love track from the Trilla mixtape. It shoulda been released on Rick Ross's Trilla cause it's a tight ass beat. They just improved it a lil and added better artists haha
Yo..this song is goin HARD! Pain killed the hook & Ye murdered the track. Khaled on the other hand, I'm from South FL and respect his grind, but DAAAMMMNNNNN, I hate his ad libs even from his LLIIISSTTEENNN days on 99 Jamz.
The autotune, you can really kinda tell at the start of the song, just listen very carefully, you can hear the voice kinda matching into the beat, and that kinda throws it off for the intro.. but this song does what the title says, Goes Hard, im feelin it, but im with cb126405 on the Khaled part, i can't stand him at all, excuse my dialogue, but Screw Him!, lol, I wish he would lose his voice or something, he just gets on my nerves, ill download the song, but you can bet i'll be changing the name and takin Dj Khaled out of the title. LOL
hummm... this isn't bad but i like the usage of major artists... WEST does his sh*T here! this def. doesn't compare to other songs associated with Khaled though... i give it a 3!
I respect this dude's hustle but damn he's DEF not my favorite DJ.
With that said The Runnners... cot damn nice @*#$!! haha
Hook and Verses are expected by Kanye and T-Pain! FIRE!!
Why are you all complaining that you're sick of the voice box now? Any other song that uses the voicebox gets bashed. This song has 2 tight artist, but still, it has the voicebox so ya'll should be hatin it like you do others with the voicebox. That's all I'm thinking. Song's tight, but some of you are hypocrits.
LOL @ hypocrits, idk who you were talking to, and idc, but you might wanna keep those typa words to yaself before you get bashed LOL, and the reason people dont bash this song and others that use the voicebox, is because this ones actually GOOD, unlike the other voicebox users your referring to.
Wow this song is sick. I listened to it 10 times and wasnt tired of it all. but the part where Khaled says "I do it for da hood, cuz da hood told me I should" I dont think no hood wants him yelling at the top of his lungs on any of his songs. But this beat is fire and the lyrics are sick
GGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOO HHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAARRRRRDDDDD!!!!
DIS A CLASSIC,TOO MUCH CUSSIN FROM KANYE,BUT A HOOD CLASSIC
GGGGGGGOOOOOOO HHHHHHHHAAAAAARRRRRRRRDDDDDD!!! PEACE
okay okay okay...
1- why is this titled dj stupid @*#$! ft. voice-pain & kanye 'the murderer' west???? it should be kanye west-go hard.
2- someone else should have done the hook. i hate tpain on this. i think had he done a regular man's voice, it wouldve sounded right.
3-& who is dj khaled again??? no, for real, djbooth, tell me why this is titled as being his joint?? corny dude, mad corny.
4- beat: hard. kanye: murder. tpain: why? why a voice box?
good God, people....really can we dig deep for some fresh creativity, yes we already know that you can produce a song about the hood, but how bout something up to date...i mean lets be honest i dont think you would call T-pain or Kanye West poor/hood/ghetto one bit if you saw them today. but other than the slow death of hip hop...this song has a nice melody and the chorus with pain matches the octaves of the beat very well, kanye does nice, but nothing special...the voice box doesnt bother me, but it scares me to think of the future instruments that will take away from actual musical abilities.
Honestly I find DJ Khaled's yelling to be hilarious. He says the same stuff in every song! He's worse than Diddy when he used to yell all the time! Anyway, the song is sick! It wasn't Kanye's best and I think he would've been better here without the voicebox, but he's still cool. T-Pain's hook is crazy, though. Then its all over another hard beat from The Runners.
u can tell khaled wants to start spittin on his tracks, he's blabberin to the beat now...bet u he starts spittin crap on his tracks by the next album! oh yeah hot song kanye GOES IN not khaled
i luv kanye on this...i luv him so much betta wit theze banga beatz and t-pain did gud too. itza banga (o, and in case yall didnt c on dj unks track...i figured i cud go2 tha librar-e 2 list-n/rate song every once in a while=))
I'm not feeling this track at all. DJ Khaled gets on my nerves. Like some people said, his yelling gets annoying. Nice Collaba and good production from him but all and all this song for me is just a meh. T-Pain and Kanye West did excellent work. I can't take that away from them. More props to Kanye. His second verse was tight.
lmao@DJ MOE, he got 'em. I have no problem with the voice box at all. Kanye and T-Pain know exactly how to use it. DJ Khaled isn't all that annoying anyways, he just does what he does best. I'm not hatin'. I did find the video where he showed Kanye "Out Here Grindin'" hilarious, though..
3.5; If you subtract Khaled this is a 4.25. I'm feeling Kanye w/ or w/o autotune and I'm used to T-pizzle doing it but without Khaled this song goes even that much harder.
Khaled was rhyming at the beginning. That just makes me laugh. He is the most annoying DJ ever, but he does bring hits, though. This track is definitely a hit. Solid performances by both T. Pain and Kanye.
wow, voice box was unnessesary* 4 Kanye and it is T-pain thing but other then that I enjoyed it.
Does Anyone notice that every artist thats had a major "Club Banger" with T-Pain ends up using a Voice box or is that just me
and Bush tell me that 2
Kanye went HARD!!! Every since his mother has passed he has dropped some of his best verses. I strongly believe that pain brings about the best work off art in any person
