Critics of Miami’s DJ Khaled typically all express similar gripes, chief among them his piling of at least three guest artists on each record, and his frequent ad-libs. Apparently taking note of these complaints, the Terror Squad DJ keeps his vocals to a minimum on the newest track to be featured on his third album, We Global, ceding the spotlight to perhaps his most lyrically-gifted client to date. That’s right, Queensbridge’s very own Nas is here to turn his swagger up and show the casual listener that I’m On. While his production partner Dre has more experience as a hookman, for the first time we hear Cool singing the later part of the chorus (the two still did the beat together). We Global, DJ Khaled’s final album in his Koch trilogy, will be available in stores and online retailers this coming Tuesday, September 16.

I heard this joint a while ago when the Nas album first came out. The first thing that came to my mind was "We Takin' Ova"? But that wackness of that carbon copy production idea instantly disappeared when I heard how Nas smashed the track lyrically and delivery wise. The hook is really hot as well. I can bump this. WTF?! Why is Nas giving in to DJ Khaled and his no-talent scheme to make money. I thought Nas would know better ,but i was wrong. Still, the song is hot I can't lie, but Khaled had nothing to do with that. Cool & Dre's production is real nice, and Nas gives some crazy vocals. 3/5.

Eye of the Tiger! This will be THE song of the album for Khaled. No doubt about it. Nas is the best alive and this song is on fire. Topic is not what we are becoming acustomed to hearing from Mr. Jones, but we know Esco can still be fly. This is my shit!

I like the idea of Nas getting out to everyone in a big way. Dj Khaled honestly needs an interview to explain his actual role cuz I'm not finding it. I mean he used to be the hype man, which I can see a use for that. Then he went to straight up yelling garbage and leaving everyone to want to either fast-forward past him or not listen to the track. Does anyone care that you're global or international? I know I don't, when you have an actual role on a track then pls. call yourself DJ Khaled otherwise this is a Nas track w/ Cool n Dre production.

Can someone PLEASE explain to me why DJ Khaled gets ripped for doing what he is doing? He is a DJ who is compiling artists, producers and tracks that NO OTHER DJ IN THE INDUSTRY has been able to put together. Give the man some credit. You don't have to pen or produce cuts in order to be apart of something. Rant over... hot track.

I could probly get a Cool & Dre beat, after telling them I had Ti and Jay lined up to rap over it. Then get TI and tell him I have a Cool & Dre beat for u to rap over. Then call up Jay and tell him to jump on the track for the single's sales on iTunes. And now I'm a DJ? No, I am a kid with a cell phone, and thats what DJ Khalid is. This is one of the HOTTTEST songs I've heard. This is my favourite song from We Global and there are plenty of bangers on the album. DJ Khaled's annoying voice would normally take my vote down by about half a star, there is no need for someone of his fame to be making such a noise announcing who he is when we all know already what it is. The production is great, the hook is top and Nas delivers. For me this is classic, Il bang this for a long time still

Classic C&D. Dre can sing better than Cool I think. Khaled is a great artist-and-producer collaborator. The only downside to his tracks are his constant screaming on them. |
