If you’re gonna ride with DJ Kayslay, you’d better be About That Life. On the latest single off his long-awaited fifth solo album, following 2011 single 60 Second Assassin, the NYC mainstay recruits five artists who share his “Don’t just talk about it; be about it,” life philosophy to show and prove over a clamorous trap beat by G14. Fabolous, Nelly, Rick Ross and French Montana handle mic duties, each explaining why he and his paper ain’t nothing to f*ck with in a hard-nosed guest 16, and T-Pain ties the package together with a trigger-happy, Auto-Tuned chorus. Rhyme or Die still lacks a solid drop date. In the meantime, though, you can find more trunk-rattling material on Kayslay’s Grown Man Hip Hop Pt 2: Sleepin With The Enemy tape, released to the ‘net in January.
