A new track from DJ Kay Slay, 50 Cent and Dr. Dre!? Before I even listened to Dreamin I already knew that the all-star line-up would fuel a barrage of listens - and comments - from DJBooth members. The next track from Kay Slay’s upcoming More Than a DJ album, Dreamin features some of Dr. Dre’s best work behind the boards in recent memory with a soulful beat that’s simultaneously threatening and celebratory. For his part, 50 is in the same murderous lyrical mode he was in on War Angel, vowing to destroy all-comers with his trademark menacing drawl (is 50 trying to say “when murder’s done improperly” on the hook?). Kay Slay will be joined by even more hip-hop heavyweights when More Than a DJ drops October, 31.

Hot record for the streets. This record will accomplish everything it's made to do. Production is real nice, typical 50 mixtape flow. Nothing special, but enjoyable.

I like it... but I was hoping for more. I agree with Nathan, Dre's board work is very good. Unfortunately, 50 has sounds disinterested at times. All-in-all, not to shabby for a feature track on a DJ-helmed album.

Give this production to either Eminem or Bishop Lamont & I reckoned it would be in my rotation for months.

50 didnt come with the intensity that the production warranted imo.

production is top notch but 50 sounds like hes tryin too hard to sound grimey... if he just spit his regular relax flow it would have made it so much better

Has shades of older 50 in this track but this song is just boring (his verses all sounds the same) nothing special at all.

i would disagree with the "star power" on this record yes its big names and for tht it will do well but its just like rihanna and jay Z, T.I and Dro, wayne, Drake, and Bird man. with th exception of Em you can see this kind of star power on alot of calabos from this lot

@DJ Z Doesn't 50 almost always sound disinterested? That's his thing, the "I'm too cool and collected to get worked up" rhyme style.

Seriously, I need the Booth to answer this question for me: what is 50 saying on the hook? Is it "when murder's done improperly"? "When murder's done improbably"? What the hell is he saying?

Damn...Just Damn...I am a true 50 fan but this is only OK. I can't even front on this one. His album gotta be tighter than this. I would tell him this to his face; as a matter of fact, I wish I could, because its obvious that people around him are saying everything is sounding great, when it really isn't...

The beat is good just doesnt fit 50 well. I am not much of a 50 fan but I try not to hold that against him. I just do not think this song was going for him. Not a horrible effort but I have heard so much better from the man.
