Although DJ Envy has released a Blok Party mixtape/album on behalf of Desert Storm and hosted Red Cafe‘s “album-before-the-album,” The Co-Op, he has never had an album on which he could credit himself as the sole headliner – until now. Ready to cast his line into the vast ‘DJ album’ sea, the Queens native will release It’s Moovin’ sometime in April. For the first single, Envy creates something that old-school and new-school fans alike would just love to Download. As Lil’ Kim describes her experiences with an online lover, T-Pain pays homage to those who inspired him to pick up the autotuner in the first place by sampling Zapp & Roger’s Computer Love on the beat and his inspired hook; Charlie Wilson (who did background vocals on the original Computer Love) even makes a guest appearance. Though Computer Love was written when Windows and Apple were in their infancy, Download updates the record to bring its classic appeal to a new generation of listeners.

Forget the “classic” associated with the rating: this song simply delivered on every aspect of its components: decent lyrics, great vocals (NOT T-Pain’s! lol, Charlie’s of course) , catchy/smart chorus (now it’s T-pain props), good suitable flow (changing when necessary, liked the “reggaeish” touch), good vibe and solid production!. Thus, it’s only fair it gets full stars!

This is an interesting track. I heard a version of this a month ago or so but it wasn;t mastered as good as this. I really like the vocals on here and the flow of Pain and Kim. That alone would have given it a 4. But those lyrics are sooooooo cheezy it;s not even funny. So dissapointed with that aspect, I'd be embarassed to bump this at a party.

I have decided that my 2009 needs to be filled with more Charlie Wilson. The man has one of the most enjoyable voices! He could sing about sh*tting in the forest and I would be entertained. All jokes aside, props to Envy for the nice work getting this collaboration done.
Heck, even Kim sounds good here.

I actually liked Kim on this one but I think the lyrics could have been better lol. T-pain was also cool on this too. It's in rotation...but yeah, I agree that I would kinda be embarrassed to play this @ a party too haha.

This song is pretty but I don't think it's all that...I'm feelin Lil' Kim and Charlie Wilson, but T-Pain sounds terribly as always (u know I don't like him with his autotune). The verses are good but the hook is annoying, guess what lol! The production is good...overall result = 3

I'm a super fan of The Gap Band, and Charlie Wilson did his damn thing on this. Lil' Kim's part was iight. It's a cute song. Im throwin in my slow jams rotation!

Extremely laid back and very smooth. A great mix of old and new for sure. Lil'Kim surprises here with vocals and melody. If anyone wants Charlie Wilson back on the scene tell him he might need to hit up R. Kelly, just look at the successful Charlie, Last Name Wilson.
