When DJ Drama’s Oh My hit our pages back in April, DJBooth member King_Rick23 said, “this is iight they need 2 make a remix asap!!!” Well King Rick, a mere four months later you’ve finally gotten your wish – it’s the official Oh My Remix! This time around producer Drumma Boy made a tweak to the production, but it’s too small a tweak for my ears; this sounds like the same booming, club-friendly banger we got on the original. Instead, the difference comes behind the mic. With Drama playing the hypeman, Trey Songz replaces Roscoe Dash on the hook and even raps (describing a fine female’s booty as “retarded” in the process), followed by 2 Chainz (of 10 Summaz fame) and the finally famous Big Sean, who’s especially censor-worthy here. With such a complete vocal overhaul the comparison should be easy, so which was better people; the original or the remix? (I’m especially anxious to hear King_Rick23’s thoughts.) Those reaching for the volume on either version will be happy to know that Drama’s new album, Third Power, will finally see the light of day on August 30. Oh my.

Oh my...what a remix!! I wish Fab had another set of bars cuz he killed it on the original. Other than that, the remix is a Fab verse shy of a classic.

This was waaaay better than the original. Trey's vocals were enough for me to like the song. Not really feelin' 2 Chainz verse though.

Listening to it currently and I'm really underwhelmed....
I don't like the change to the way the beat and sample sound. And at some points I do. Trey does hold his own, but I really liked Sean's verse. Yep, chorus is missing the synth in the background imho. I'd still spin it at a party though. |

the hype is worth a listen, Trey kills defo with great hooks with his soulful voice and rap lines.
DJ Drama of course knows (usually) how to hook up with peeps to make a good track. I'm growing very fond of Big Sean right now, the famous one drops some heavy lines, great remix. |

Trey songz delivered but the other 2 didnt work 4 me
never liked big sean never will hes ok in songs like "woopty Doo" but 2 chainz is average at best original is much better |

It's not bad, definitely not better than the original though. The only cool thing about this was Trey Songz. He did alright on the hook and his verse was cool. This one will do really well on radio thanks to that. It was all downhill from there, though. 2 Chainz verse was sorry and Big Sean still doesn't impress me very much. I much prefer the sick verses from Fabolous, Wiz, and even Roscoe!

Honestly, Boothizens.
Dash can get a little annoying with the inflections of his hooks; anyone who doesn't unquestionably bow to him will tell you. But look here! Trey has painted over this and now the track is functional. It's like magic. |
