When DJ Drama finally released Gangsta Grillz: The Album in December of ‘07, it got mainly positive reviews. Retaining all the elements that made the GG mixtape series so popular, it’s considered by some to be the best DJ-assembled album of all time. Looking to keep that buzz going, Drama will be releasing the sequel, GGTA 2, on March 31. Included on the album is the official version of the previously-leaked strip club anthem Tipper Love; while The-Dream was the sole artist on the unfinished version, two rappers have since joined in to throw their ones. As Wu-Tang/AMG afilliate LA the Darkman gets ready to blow his IHOP-esque stacks, 25-year pimp-hop veteran Too $hort looks to recruit her to his team, even calling her by the name her mother gave her. Put all that over a keyboard-synth beat by Tricky Stewart and you’ve got a certified strip-club anthem. Check back to the DJBooth this February when Drama and Z chop it up in an exclusive interview.

I don't personally give out Tipper Love - but Tricky and Dream form quite the catchy duo. That, and I am a sucker for Too Short raps. The man still has what it takes... at his ripe old age of what? 40?

Not the finest work from these artists, but not bad not bad. Like the production and that whole ish. Just like Z, I too love Too Short. I guess it was the dirty lyrics that I used to listen to when my parents weren't home to feel rebellious that has led me to stay on the bandwagon. 3/5

WOWOWOWOWOW!!! The booth is crazy tonight!!! Imma tell you what: I'm rating this 5 stars without gettin to the rap yet! Dream's vocals are perfect for this, amazing ear for melody; I'm talking about he making you enjoy the laid back way he sings that (love) "now"... this is bananas!! Simply catchy as hell! Oh sh!t, they started rapping and the flow is following the beats outstanding quality!
PS: How come The-Dream doesn't always make this A+ material?! I knew he had it in him... |

That’s weird DJJ… I’m listening to the song again, and I noticed that the percussion is left to a minimum. Maybe that was the reason you got bored, there’s not enough bang? But man, what about everything else?!? Tricky went crazy with any instrument that could produce a note. Hell, there’s a moment you can hear a TRIANGLE! lol Listen again with earphones please ;)

Well Fred why are you embarrassed on how you rated- you should be proud- you shouldn't want to follow what others say...would you have rated lower if you would've seen their ratings??...but anyway, Imma follow you- I also thought this was hella tight. The Dream actually delivered this time- his part was straight. But I ain't gonna lie- when I saw his name, I was like "dammit..." cause I was sick of him cause he always sounds the same on EVERY track- but now I see that I can like him. But Too Short was my favorite- he needed a longer part though!!....that mad me mad....ugh I really like him. ANYWAY- it's a banger.

Ok i usually check out joints on booth wit my earphones on ... so that part is checked .... Yes Stewart used a lot of instruments over this .... but the final product is str8 bumpin .... i like it .... Dream wit a much grittier voice just killed it .... & Too-Short over any strip-club joints demands attention ...
Go drop it,pop it ,low it ,shake it like a jelly ...... jus do ur thang .... cos as long as this one is bumpin .... imma be tippin .... LOL |

Hella wack, not embarrassed to say it either. I think I would've liked it more if it were just the Dream. LA The Darkman hasn't impressed me on anything I've heard him on. The hook kinda got on my nerves by the end.

Dope song!! had it for awhile now without la the darkman and too short! Even better now! although i could live without la darkman. but too short comes correct everytime and the dream and tricky stewart are just plain nuts on this....Gangsta Grillz u bastads!!

This is pretty good. It is catchy, but the downside is that it's a little slow and boring at times. But the flow is very nice. I could see this on the radio.

Haha I've listened to this song about 10 times and I'm still not bored of it. It is exemplary of the magic of The-Dream. Sure the song could be a little less repetitive but Dream makes it work. And Too Short did good.

I loved Daydreaming and this is grrreat too! The production is banging and they all sound really good! I don't know what else to say. Catchy and energetic music, good voices, good melodies and a very decent hook...what should I want more?
