DJ Drama - We Must Be Heard ft. Ludacris, Willie The Kid & Busta Rhymes
Artist: DJ Drama
Featuring: Ludacris , Willie The Kid , Busta Rhymes
Producer: V12 Tha Hitman
Album: Gangsta Grillz: The Album (Vol. 2)
Label: Grand Hustle/Aphilliates/eOne
It has been said that, to qualify as a hip-hop great, you must master four types of music; while anyone can make hits for the club, the streets, and the females, few can complete the quadrifecta and also craft records that motivate their audience. Drawing on his immense list of industry connects, DJ Drama has assembled three of these movers and shakers for the second track off Gangsta Grillz: The Album (Vol. 2). V12 Tha Hitman‘s masterful synth-mandolin beat demands equally powerful rhymes; fortunately, “best when hyper” MCs Ludacris, Willie The Kid, and Busta Rhymes deliver on the instrumental’s promise in high-caliber verses. Sick of being shut out by the government and mainstream media, they demand that their people be given the respect they deserve, shouting, “We Must Be Heard!” Though not a single, this cut’s strong message, hard-hitting lyricism, and inspired production should make it a critical success in the Booth and beyond. For further details on Drama’s developing movement, check out his exclusive interview with our own DJ Z, set to hit our front page this Tuesday.

Lyrically this song is absolutely crazy; Ludacris just NEVER fails. NEVER. Willie comes strong but falters in comparison to Luda and Busta. Beat is a bit lacking but this isn't exactly mean to be catchy; just lyrical. 4.5

Phantom nailed it with the Luda props. The way that beat started off with him spitting had me hyped up! I liked the production on this throughout the whole song, this can easily go on the pump up playlist. Busta came hard on here too with a vintage flow, while Willie kind of dropped off a bit (A little dissapointing too, considering he has been on fire lately). Overall a solid 3 star record for me.

Drama knows he has a heatrock in the form of this record. Big props to V12, whose production work had me feeling this from the :01 marker.

Yes. Hell yes. One word reaason for song to earn Classic status: Ludacris. Yep. But this one got some epic production too. Reminds me of a boss battle on a video game. LOL. Yeah. Mario vs. Bowwserr!! :)
P.S. Bowwserr wins in the end. Always. Except on the Sparks contest. Lol. Then he's runner up. :) CLASSIC! |

Damn, that intro with Luda spittin got me all super-excited, a repetetive beat, but Luda came thru to save the day, Willie and Busta were both solid. Bottom line: LUDA STOLE THE SHOW

Yeah yeah, this one definitely gets it. Willie delivers quite nicely, and Busta gives a high powered verse, but more than any LUDA continuously proves he was one of the best rappers out there and will remain to be.
4.5/5 |

YES SIRRRR! Best I've ever heard from Drama. He always has the long lineups like DJ Khaled, but Khaled has always made the better hits. Drama finally made a record that I can say matches up with some of Khaled's sh*t. This production is crazy. Luda kicked this off with a great opening verse. Willie sounded good to me, and Busta brought some fire with his fast-paced closing verse. Good message on here. Easily a banger. I'll give it a 4.5

This has to be the best track Drama put together so far. Didn't really like the majority of his other tracks. Mad hot beat also, tho reeeeal repetetive. But it's some new sounds, so I appreciate that. They all spit hot!

Ludacris is SO SUCH A BEAST! I was sleeping on this joint for a minute...
Willie did his thing too. The production is so introspective and haunting. You know who (not me) would serve this production up nicely (not saying I couldn't either...lol) Busta boomed on this. |

Yeah I def. agree with Michael about Luda and Willie....Busta did good too. However I was NOT feeling this beat at all!...Theres like something wierd about it. It has like a lil western feel to it- which i do NOT like lol.

When I first saw this song I didnt expect that much just thought it would be another throwaway mixtape track wit wasted talent on it. Listened to it and its better than I thought. The production is kind of dark but is interesting. Luda is dope and Willie the Kid & Busta is solid. Not quite a banger but 3.5 in rotation

WOW:]], I guess the lyrics don't factor much in the rating if you're giving a 2-star just because of the beat (which I LOVE-especially the mandolin lines!)
As for the track, see all the non-hater comments above me, combine them, and you have my opinion. |

Nothing special, just a big freestyle session, let's hear a song or some substance,Luda does Luda which is be a comedian, that Willie Cat is trash,Drama, you have a better ear than that and for Busta, you need to retire and just do shows!Your shows are Crazy!

DjReality, you obviously haven't been paying attention to the lyrics if you say there's "no substance".

As M.Burmy has stated twice before, people need to pay attention to the lyrics of a song, as well as the production. I myself have been guilty of low ratings because of bad production, but I never actully disregard the lyrics. They make the song just as much as the production.

This track was ok. I wasnt to impressed, everybody just lived up to there own hype in my opinion, they all did what was expected of them, Dj drama did what he does, luda sick but never really impresses me, willie did his thing, same with busta. 3 rappers and 1 dj who have all become quite comfortable where they are.

They all spit fire, but Luda shined the best. The production was ill, the beat was not overpowering that way you could focus on the lyrics, so dont rate it on that alone. But it wud be nice to hear a remix of this wit a bangin beat =] just sayin'
