Underutilized, yet highly appreciated hip-hop legend DJ Babu has crafted a serious candidate for nodfactor of the week with the simple yet effective My Opinion, featuring Aftermath’s own Bishop Lamont. Joining up with the Dilated Junkie on the forthcoming Duck Season 3, Lamont gives his opinion on the game. It’s real talk that should be appreciated by those who love this culture for what it’s worth, and not for what it costs. In my opinion, the game is already changing both for the better and the worse, and as a result this diamond in the rough won’t hold much crossover appeal for those who have counted the West Coast out as a major force in the rap game. As we approach October 28, Duck Season 3 is shaping up to be another crowning achievement from Dilated Peoples’ famous turntablist.
BABU is sick at what he does and Lamont comes correct over solid production and scratching. Looking forward to this album. On a separate note, I would greatly appreciate if our members took more time to equally rate and give feedback to lesser known products!
DJ Babu is a beast man. Dilated is that deal. This project sounds like it's going to be really ill. It sounds like Jay could have smashed this track. Bishop Lamont did his thing though. This is definitely something to crank up and roll slow through the hood. The vibe sort of reminded me of "Blue Magic", which is probably why I thought Jay could smash the track. Definitely something I would play again. Into rotation it goes.
I was so wrong bout Lamont. This dude is quickly becoming one of my favorite new MCs. This dude reps LA well! (Manny! Manny! Manny!) Power is playin some bs these days. I'm glad he put that in here. This is good. Babu's beat ain't bringin me to move, but all the better to focus on lamont's dopeness.
I'm feelin this right here...Babu is on point with this beat, i agree that its not super strong, but like BDF said that gives Bishop and chance to really shine and he does...4 star banger for sure
Bishop’s been on my radar since he popped on the Booth. He comes with good flow and decent lyrics. Production is simple but well put together, and is always good to see a DJ tryin to make it doing what he does and not tryin to rap. You’re not all Dr. Dre, but this one at least resembled his production mark, and that’s a big plus!
Production is good, his flow too, but I don't think they fit each other. If taken singly they are both good, but together they make a mediocre result to my ears! It's ok
