Diggy Simmons - 4 Letter Word
Artist: Diggy Simmons
Producer: Soundz
Album: Unexpected Arrival
Label: Atlantic Records
As fresh and fly young rapper, Diggy Simmons had to include a little something for female fans on his debut set. Sure enough, potential single 4 Letter Word is a puppy-love anthem par excellance, with Soundz’ serving up a smooth, pop-appealing backdrop for rhymes dedicated to a special girl. How about it, Booth readers: does this record sound like a hit in the making? Whatever your take, you can hear more from the rap phenom on his Atlantic Records debut, Unexpected Arrival.

I am sure Diggy's younger audience will enjoy this, but I hope this isn't the direction the elders in his corner take his career. He cannot sing and should not try. But a young (quality) male vocal on that hook. Don't make the kid sing the chorus!

I like the idea, and it could really be a good song, but he's not a singer.

Diggy is smooth for the younger ladies. He's growing into his style nicely. Smooth joint overall...

I like Diggy's rhyme he brings in pop-rap culture that doesn't annoy me necessarily, I'd say his better than other counterparts..no names mentioned.
His lyricism is not breathtaking but soft and smooth translating into a B-list track to me. But, a lil' repetitive. |
