Every three years or so, Sean John Combs gets ready to release an album of his own (whether it be as Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, or just Diddy). For 2009, he and his newly-formed group, Dirty Money (consisting of himself, Dawn Richard, and Keelena), are getting ready to jump on board the Last Train To Paris (due out Sept. 22). His newest single, however, won’t be on the LP’s tracklist. Ready to get the streets, radio, and clubs moving, Diddy throws his hat into the “dance record” ring with the Diddy Bop (not to be confused with Red Cafe‘s attempted single of the same name). Xplicit delivers on the catchy hook (though not so much on Diddy’s ghostwritten verses), and Yung Joc (one of the best guest spots you can pick up nowadays) spits a solid closing contribution, yet it’s Isaac Opus’ beat that’ll get the whole world Diddy Bopping (watch for the forthcoming instructional video). If you’re turned off by this “dumbed-down” single, hey, at least it won’t be on the album (don’t be surprised if a “Bad Boy Family” compilation album is announced soon, though).

All I really got out of this was hot production mixed with another way for Diddy to plug his Ciroc vodka. People are going to love this, but it wasn't my favorite. Joc came hard, but that was about it. Bad Boy is on a roll right now though.

This wasn't too bad. The hook was actually pretty catchy. The production was pretty good and Joc had a hot verse. Diddy was OK. Rotation overall.

The chorus is repetitive but the production saves this. Diddy's laid back flow is iight but nothing special. Joc & Xplicit are iight..decent listen

Strong production; mediocre verses from Diddy but another nice guest spot from Joc (maybe he should give up on the solo career and make a living off features, haha). It's an enjoyable song I guess. For a first single...not so much.

eh... not too bad. The thing is that Diddy has always been a way below average rapper. On the 90's tracks it seemed to work for him, but I guess he just isn't surrounded wit the same amount of talent to lift him and his tracks up anymore. The hook is pretty catchy, although the monotone voice gets a lil annoying. Diddy doesn't do horribly on his verses, but not worth too many more listens. Joc is OK.

Sad to say...but I want Diddy to go back to the 97 Shiny Suit era...cuz that was his prime.
But this joint wasn't bad...but I agree, not the greatest. I know he want to bring it back on the rapping tip though...but this might not do it. Oddly enough...I would have liked to hear Soulja Boy on here. He might have made the song better due to it's dance content. |

I'm feeling the production on here. It has a nice club vibe to it. Diddy's flow just isn't good to me. Its pretty wack...like i said before his flow seems like it belongs in the 90s and only the 90s. I will say this Diddy brings a sick swag to anything he's on. His swag is def undeniable...i mean who can blame him? Joc was cool on here and the yshouldn't even have featured Xplicit on here....what does he do? the chorus? i sure can't tell. Overall not too bad but not great either.

At home, you cannot enjoy this. At the club, though, I would do a little Diddy Bop any day of the week. Can Diddy rap? No. But this is fun.

Call me crazy, but I actually Like this!!! I can't believe I am actually saying this but Diddy's flow is decent on here, and beat is HOT! Whether you hate it or not, this is a rotational track. I don't know how many people I am willing to share this information with in my personal circle, but its not bad! And this is coming from the Biggest Tupac Shakur fan of all time!
