When approaching their new album, At the Point of No Return, Virgin Records rap quartet Dem Franchize Boyz released the lead single, Talkin’ Out Da Side of Ya Neck. Featured here at DJBooth this past October, the song created very little initial buzz, but the label stuck with it. Skip ahead a few months, full of non-stop singles featuring T-Pain, and the folks at DJBooth are now firmly convinced there is an industry-wide conspiracy. Recorded last year, the DFB/T-Pain collaborative effort, Come Come, is set to be pushed as the group’s next single. Why now? Why not last October? Simple; T-Pain was too busy last fall (Kiss Kiss, Good Life, Church). When all else fails, unleash the sleeping giant… otherwise known as the previously recorded T-Pain collabo.
This is a really smooth T-Pain track right here. I am happy to hear some variation in his style this time as well. The beat is really smooth to match T's lyrics. Dem Franshize boyz are another story. I just don't think they have good flows. They should have given this beat to someone who could have killed it, like anyone from Cash money (past or present) T.Pain, Plies, Rick Ross, etc, etc....It's still in rotation just because T-pain makes it hot.
iv had this song for a minute, and its aiight but i never could get into it too much...if it was DFB it would be better cos they r only good on south slangin records.
T-Pain must be so rich and tired, I wonder where he gets his motivation from. Anyway, this song is laid back and soothing, which is weird coming from DFB. Is the rapping average or is it just me?
T-pain and beat are hot. I completely agree with DJ Blaze, put Plies on this track he'd kill it, Plies and Ross. Dem Franchize Boyz aint nothin special to me, their tracks are usually hot but I can almost say "I'd rather hear....." on this track.
yo i gotta agree wit u on this one blaze...tha lyrics from DFB are average...maybe a lil below...but T-Pain killd his part...and tha beat's fresh too...~
~**AEO**~
t-pain shoulda kept this one for himself....DFB ruin it as usual...2* only for t-pain and i'm not even a t-pain fan (overloaded from the 4 singles he puts out a day)
i guess when tpain jumps on a track to do the hook..the song automatically becomes hot..i aint gonna lie..its the truth..if tpain wasnt on this jawn it would just be another flop from these dudes..but tpain adds a nice smooth flow to this track .. im feelin it
I got to agree with Blaze on this one. Some smooth production from T-Pain, but even that can't save this song from some talentless rappers named Dem Franchize Boyz. You can say what you want, but when was the last time you listened to a Dem Franchize Boyz song and was like damn that was a rhyme? They are a group that found a radio niche and are getting paid, but that doesn't mean you can rap. But hey get in where you fit in. By the way I am getting tired of all these T-Pain and Lil Wayne features.
It was good until he started saying "B*tch, Sh*t" every other word, then it started to sound like every other song on the radio. I wouldn't play this in my set at all, but I can see why some people (Ahem, Blaze, Ahem) would, the beat is simple, and in the club people like simple......
dis sng is da shit i think dfb shld do more sngs wit t-pain matta fact a whole cd . i wld most definetley buy dat cd . dfb nd t-pain woow dis is an all new level to wat has to cme . keep doin wat yall do.
T-Pain - Dem Franchize Boyz - Dem Franchize Boyz - T-Pain.. They Killin' it!!! in this song... Dey is some freakys which is cool wit me you know.. Plus its jus another slow rap song thats gonna be played in every bedroom... Thats the deal...
When I heard the first second I immediately wanted to stop the player...I'm so sick of the voicebox! The reason why I think T-Pain ruins every song he sings! Anyway, in this the part in which he sings is the best in my opinion, at least the chorus melody is pretty! The rest of the song is forgettable...overall rating, ok
