For those not keeping track of Dem Franchize Boyz’ label issues, the Booth will now provide a recap: after their debut on Universal, Jermaine Dupri bought out their contracts for a deal with So So Def/Virgin, but once JD took So So Def to Island Urban Music, the Atlanta quartet was left behind as Virgin got absorbed into Capitol, which they subsequently got dropped from. Okay, take it all in. Fortunately, the DFB foursome was able to keep their master tapes before moving to their new home at Koch. On September 30, a collection of old and new records will be featured on their third studio album, Our World, Our Way. The first official single, Turn Heads, is similar to their previous hit, Ridin’ Rims, with the primary difference being producer LT Moe‘s smoother low-tempo beat and R&B singer Lloyd‘s trademark soft vocals.
This is ok. Has a boring type vibe to it. Lloyd's album disapointed me, I'm kinda mad at him 4 that one. Franchize doesn't excite me at all. This is alright.
YEAH I LIKE LLOYD VOCALS FROM THE LAST FEW SINGLES HE HAS PUT OUT HE HAS REALLY STEPPED IT UP FOR ME HE WAS A NICE TOUCH TO THIS SONG AND DFB YEAH UR TYPICAL MONEY CARS AND GIRLS SONG MITE NOT TURN HEADS BUT I CAN BUMP TO THIS..
Ive never really liked Lloyd.. but im not too mad at this. Dem Franchise Boys have always managed to make me feel guilty about liking one of their tracks. I like the beat to this one... and the boys dont fail to make me bob my head a bit.
all in all, dis ok. Talkin out tha side of ya neck is more crank tho!
Dis song is really hot and it has nice prod. WE all know the limited lyrical abilities of Franchize Boyz but there lyrics was decent. Lloyd is the foundation of dis song cuz withouth him the song would be wack. Lloyd is straight off the chain on the hook. I give it a 4
Lloyd is bangin on this track, he makes it worth listenin to, this is kinda weird though, cause for the first minute or so, Lloyd is the star of the song, and i love his hook, its fantastic, but Dem Franchize Boyz's they need to turn the volume up on there lyrics, i didnt even hear them, its a shame when a featured artist overblows the original artist :D Lloyd makes it worth while.
It's funny how so people members have pointed out that Lloyd "makes this single." How many singles have been made by T-Pain, Trey Songz, or (ready for this) even Nate Dawg? Seriously, its the final product that counts. This is a ready hit.
It's nothing original but I'm feeling it! Good beat and good them, too...I'll be adding it to my mp3 player. today I heard some good songs on djbooth, thanx!
just what we needed... another song about a "pimped out ride sittin' on 20+ rims...women are still "ho's"...etc etc...on the positive...nice bounce in the beat
Didnt like it a first, but its grown on me, Lloyd kills it, 1 of the best hooks of the year. Beats nice as well, definitely a good song for cruisin in your pimped out Chevrolet
