After releasing their self-titled debut album in 2002, R&B quartet Deepside signed with Jive Records and released their major label debut single, Let’s Make Love. Featuring Chicago hit maker R. Kelly, the song became a small hit at radio and in the clubs during the summer of 2006. Unfortunately, since Jive is notorious for delaying albums long past their original release date, Deepside’s sophomore effort DS2 has never gotten off the ground. As the group desperately tries to reclaim their buzz, a remixed version of the South Florida-natives Let’s Make Love has surfaced. While the vocals remain the same and no guest artists were added, a completely different beat has been mixed in. Although this new version might revive the club appeal for Let’s Make Love‘s, what Deepside really wants is for their album to be in stores.
Wow, this song is so dated and Jive decides to put out a remix now in hopes to finally release their sophomore album?! I hate record labels. Pretty good remix no doubt.
These guys broke into the industry when their sound was "it." Now the group-thing has seemingly been overplayed. Hopefully they will get the chance to at least show everyone what they are all about. This is a solid remixed version.
Damn, I think this is TERRIBLE. This better not be a single. They look super gay and this sounds really weak...the chorus is off, the beat is so simple it sounds elementary, but not in a good way. The only highlight is Kells, but this was probably forced by the label.
