Whoever “they” is always says “home is where the heart is” and on his latest single, 4 Tha Hood, Daz Dillinger lets listeners know that his heart is in the hood. While most hood anthems have a raw, grimy feel, 4 Tha Hood bucks the trend. Producer Jamil crafts an up-tempo, squeaky clean beat that is perfect for cruising around just about any neighborhood. As the beat claps, the veteran Dillinger gets all nostalgic, giving nearly everyone, from the OG’s to all the haters in the vacant, a shout out. Rounding out the song’s appropriately nice vibe are the hook’s tweaked vocals, which give this record a vintage, trademark West Coast sound. If you want more crisp tracks where 4 Tha Hood came from then be sure to cop Dillinger’s album Witit Witit, set for a December release.

Daz Dillinger still got that quick bouncy flow that I am still a fan of. Good beat by Jamil... makes you move all the way through.

Nice uptempo beat, it goes great with Daz's flow. Wasn't really digging the hook, but besides that, good track.

The lyrics were about the hood so it that wasn't groundbreaking but the beat on this track is amazing. There wasn't too much going on and Daz & Schy's deliveries were on point. Mz. Jenise's vocals were a great addition as well

Based on the concept of the song and the way that it ultimately came together, I gotta say that the end result is very appealing. Loved the hook. Mz. Jenise had me at "Hood."
