If there’s anything more fly than actual flight, I haven’t heard of it—and, if this cut is any indication, neither has David Rush (a.k.a. Young Boss). Making its world premiere right here at DJBooth.net, new single Where You Wanna Go finds the Shootin’ Star emcee plying an enchanting shorty with promises of jet-setting both literal and metaphorical. The concept may not be new, but listeners with a taste for high-energy club music will agree that the execution is, well, stellar—A.N.T. Productions’ synth-heavy instrumental is the aural equivalent of hi-octane jet fuel, and the vocal interplay between Rush and previously-unknown singer Mina provides the spark this jam needs to catch fire on dancefloors nationwide. Rush doesn’t get around to actually rapping till the track is two-thirds over (and then only briefly), but the vast majority will be too busy moving to the music to notice. Similar to his label boss, Pitbull, and Miami natives LFMAO - David knows what the club wants to hear. This will be on rotation on a number of club-DJs play lists- guaranteed.

Theres a time and place for this song but Im not into this type of music. The production is decent but it sounds like every other club song. And the lyrics arent good enough to seperate it from the rest of the pack.

at 1st, i thought it was kinda generic and plain, but i really got into it. it took me a min, but i noticed uniqueness in this jam. maybe its cuz i am really in to club music so i really take the time to appreciate it. 3.5 ill round up cuz im in a positive mood right now... kind of a futuristic mood actually, "Aint I, Aint I, Aint I......."- shout out to Yung L.A. that jam is too sick!

Shooting Star is still the best track i've heard from this dude!! But this is strictly a club track it's actually an ok club track at that but nothing spectacular which would leave you in awe!!!!
Never heard of Mina but she does pretty good!! |

Miami club music is sooo distinct, I can definitely rock with it. Everytime you hear it, no matter where you are, you automatically start getting warm weather-vacation club vibes in your mind (if you're from the midwest like me).
What I like here different from the others is the unique crossover from rap to singing here. The production is similar to a LMFAO, but Rush killed it. |

This is 'dancing music' that will get people moving their feet all night long. I need to hear more from David. BDF44 is right...this song has a kanye west feel to it.
