Close your eyes, Booth readers, and try to imagine what it would be like if David Guetta, Lil Wayne and Chris Brown came together on one dancefloor-rocking colossus of a record—crazy, right? OK, you can open them now… sh*t, you can’t actually read with your eyes closed, huh? Well, whenever you get around to opening ‘em, you can judge for yourself whether the reality lives up to your fantasy by taking a listen to I Can Only Imagine, a newly-leaked cut off Guetta’s fifth LP. Though more tender in tone than current single (currently #2 on the UK iTunes Chart) Little Bad Girl, this jam is every bit as body-moving; with the headliner’s springy electro-house grooves banging in the background, Weezy and Breezy take turns paying tribute to the girl(s) of their dreams, the former waxing lovestruck on the verses (“I think somebody done gave Cupid an Uzi.”) and the latter stepping into the spotlight on the bridge and climactic hook. Has this star-studded selection exceeded your expectations? Then I Can Only Imagine how much you’ll enjoy Guetta’s latest full-length, Nothing but the Beat, when it drops on August 29.

All of David Guetta's boardwork sounds the exact same, but when he swaps out one or two all-star artists for a handful of other all-star artists he somehow brainwashes his audience that he is delivering something brand new sonically. This is part of the reason they are rioting in London (I kid, I kid). If it ain't broke...

@Z, arent all house music basically the same thing, they tend to folow the same drum line and snares and space out sounds yet the fans rave all night.

In my opinin this is a banging house track. Nothing ground breaking just palin fun.

Nice track. Nice melody, and production. Neither Brown or Wayne disappoint but, naturally Brown steals the spotlight.

Typical David and the Euro Pop sound is a bit old now since almost every major Pop star ran it into the ground lol.

Catchy. Better than Lil Bad Girl by a long shot.

its ok....compared to other Guetta tracks it has a similar beat and the star-power I guess is more than mediocre for somewhat, but I'm afraid I just Hate.

To be fair on house music, all the songs dont sound the same, though Guetta has made alot of people think that.... Go listen to Afrojack, Swedish House Mafia or Avicii.

Guetta's old stuff is a lot more creative then his new stuff. That song with Taio & Luda sounds more like his old stuff then tracks like this.

To this track. The production sounds very similar to Where Dem Girls At and Sexy @*#$! (like most hav alluded to) Waynes contribution was average, though I do like Breezy on this. The breakdown sounded pretty tight as well. Overall, good club track that will get spins.

3.5
