On September 2nd , Damani‘s group, Dubb Union, enjoyed the release of its self-titled freshman album.  Always in a celebratory mood, the frontman is getting ready to say Congratulations Playa with his own solo debut in early ‘09.  Fittingly, the first single finds him in a party mood at the club, but do you know what would make his night even better?  Why, happening to be fortunate enough to Take Somethin’ Home that night!  The longtime king of hype men, Fatman Scoop, once again calls on everyone to put their hands up, while Warryn Campbell and DJ Reflex‘s production has a classic-brass feel similar to previous work by Diddy and The Hitmen.  Expect Take Somethin’ Home to be a favorite among the grown demographic (and a few youngsters, too).

Good production, catchy and energic...it made me move immediately! Anyway I can't consider this a banger because it's a bit repetitive...it could grow on me ;)

I just got the Dubb Union in the mail yesterday (what up, Dan). I took a brief listen, and I am impressed. Everyone who mentioned head bobbing is spot on. This overall impressed me from the second I pressed play inside the e-mail inbox. Let's go, Damani.... I wanna hear more.
