In the three years since we first started featuring new music for full-length streaming, the Booth has made major strides in the online music community, bringing you everything from exclusive interviews to world premieres all the way to our recently-launched freestyle series.  Today, you, the readers, will get to help decide the fate of a potential single, presented to us by Houston-based R&B singer Dallas Blocker. Spotting a lady in the club who’s left her Boyfriend at home, Dallas spits some major game in hopes that he can take her home and get it in just “Like I Was Your Boyfriend.”  Blocker’s radio-ready vocals, comparable to many of R&B’s biggest names, along with the topical appeal and D-Botts’ mid-tempo beat, add up to a record with all the makings of a hit—the only question remaining is, will it get the push it needs to win radio and DJ spins?  The power is in your hands, Booth-heads, so use it wisely!

I feel like there are sooo many wannabe (for lack of a better term) R&B up and comers lately. I'm all cool with that, but I'm looking for a little creativity. This was straight formula right here, nothing too special at all.

Lots of songs about boyfriends these days... seems to be the in thing (wouldn't know myself, I feel its overrated at this point in my own life). I dig Pleasure P's "Boyfriend" record a little more, but this also could find a nice home at radio. Poppy-syrupy goodness.

I agree with both cb126405 and DJ Z. This needs a little creativity. This topic has been too played out lately and this has nothing to make it stand out.

This track is not great... at all. But it is OK. It's catchy and has a decent melody, but just nothin that stands out to make it receive significant radio/club play. The production is cool at first, but it ends up bein a lil annoying. The melody and hook are alright, but dont really showcase his vocals. On the bridge when they are showcased I dont feel like it was anything too special.

Nahhh! no its alrite but its way too generic and so typical. Now I know why in brackets it says 'Like I Was Your Boyfriend' otherwise I would have looked at the title and thought what is his appeal?

I usually like Dallas Blocker, but this ain't anything special at all. Really generic, like many of u wrote! He has a good voice and sings well, but the melody is annoying. Typical repetitive r&b song. Not for me
