As it turns out, Daley had good reason for titling his last feature Remember Me: it would be a hot minute till his next appearance on our pages. If you followed his advice and seared that jam into your memory, you’ll notice that freshly-minted EP single Songs That Remind Me of You has a darker, moodier vibe than its Jessie J.-assisted predecessor. Fueled by the simmering synth grooves of heavyweight beat crew Stereotypes, the record sees Daley retreating into his record collection following his split with the woman he loves. The charismatic vocal presence readers hailed on previous features is more muted here, but that’s more than compensated by the cut’s poignancy and immersive atmosphere. Songs is slated to appear on a forthcoming EP, details on which have yet to be revealed. Fans can sign up here to receive the latest updates on the project.
