Dag Savage‘s previous features, Dream Sequence and Cali Dreamin’ have been more contemplative than aggressive, but don’t let that fool you into thinking you can cross the Cali duo and live to tell the tale. On the latest single off the duo’s forthcoming mixtape, emcee Johaz offers an ominous forewarning of what competitors can expect: “I’ll f**k around and make you Milk Box material.” Exile provides a fittingly raw backdrop for his crewmate’s bruising bars, serving up a jagged, guitar-sampled instrumental complete with hook samples from Busta Rhymes’ Live to Regret and other classic joints. Feeling it? This hard-hitting jam is just one of many bangers to be found on the twosome’s Salvation street album, scheduled for digital release next week.

I like that off-kilter beat by Exile and pretty cool flows by Dag Savage. I'll run this one back a few times.

This has a little hype to it. Good for a work out mix. Exile is always fresh behind the boards.

This beat bangs! Sounds like something Busta would flow over himself. Liking the guitar on the beat, it's something different. Really nice flow and delivery from Johaz. Looking forward to more from these two.

I didn't like the production on this track, but I really enjoyed the verses. The cuts on the hook were nice as well. Exile and Dag Savage are quite a match. They seem to complement each other very nicely. Good stuff!

I was feeling the instrumental but I felt like at points in this track, the beats clashed a little. Dag savage did great and so did the featured artists. Their flow was on point and so were the lyrics...in rotation for me

Shyt knocks like a tru-skool track. Good job!
Voice reminds me of some M.E.D. a bit. |
