Entry #97 in our DJBooth.net Freestyle Series comes courtesy of D-Black, a Bronx native who’s built considerable buzz thanks to the December ‘08 release of debut mixtape New Black City Pt. 1, in addition to guest appearances on numerous other artists’ street albums. On his brand new, previously-unreleased OK, You’re Right freestyle, the currently unsigned emcee flows over a Dr.Dre-produced instrumental originally featured on 50 Cent‘s single of the same name. D-Black is currently preparing for the October release of a new mixtape (title TBD), and plans to drop New Black City Pt. 2 shortly after. In addition, the artist is working on two EPs, one produced by Illmind and the other by Khrysis.

Readers can download a copy of the newly-released In the Booth (Volume 2), featuring freestyles 31 through 60, here! In the Booth (Volume 1), featuring freestyles 1 through 30, can be downloaded here.

D-Black just merked this beat. Love the one-liners, the consistent flow, and the intensity. And... we get LOTS of bars. Yes!

This beat was always crack, and D Black made me forget that this is a 50 cent original. Very impressive.

As stated before, sick beat and clean flow. This will be on rotation in the ride.......and work (only black in there). I'll be looking forward to more tracks from D-Black.

Huh? Another D Black. Interesting. The only thing different in their name is a punctuation! lol

That ___ aside, he certainly kicked some proper ish to match Dr.'s bangin! prescription. I was headmoshing the entire time. BANGER!!!

Production by Dre makes it a rotatable track. D-Black handles it well. Have to watch on for D-Black, I have a feeling he will be blowing up.
