Peanut butter and bananas are good on their own, but the combination of the two is the perfect recipe for a tasty treat. Thanks to the King (meaning Elvis, sorry T.I. and Mez), the fusion of the two flavors is now a staple in households everywhere. Similarly, when I heard that Cypress Hill and Mike Shinoda (of Linkin Park) collaborated on the new stand out track Carry Me Away, I couldn’t imagine what the two different flavors would sound like when put together. Just like my lunch, I was blown away by the intermingling of the two, as Shinoda’s gritty rock/hip-hop production and hook complimented the always talented and lyrically heavy quartet that is Cypress Hill. However classic this collaboration might be, it definitely ends up satisfying my musical palate (and leaves me hungry for more). If you liked this sonic appetizer, be sure to check out the main course from Cypress Hill when their new album Rise Up drops on the next major holiday (4/20).

I've never really been impressed with Cypress Hill. I like Shinoda's production on here but I personally feel as if this track would have been far better as a Fort Minor track. (@*#$!. It kills me inside to know there will never be another Fort Minor Album)

Not that I wasn't excited for this RISE UP album before.... but now? Bring it on! My review copy should be arriving any day now and I anticipate it highly. This collaborative effort feels very natural, not forced at all, and the end result is great music.

Damn this is so sick! Great collaboration. Mike Shinoda is a dope producer and really worked well with Cypress. This song just kinda puts you in a trance. Hook was perfect.

@Phantastic (or whoever) - Why isn't there gonna be another Fort Minor album. I haven't been following him since his last album so I don't know what's up.

I'll always prefer Mugg's produced Cypress Hill records, but I've always been impressed with this group as "Artists". Not many Hip Hop acts are able to fuse different genres of music into their sound, and really make it work. See Lil Wayne. I'm expecting this album to be excellent.

I'm loving what I've heard from Rise Up so far. At this point it'd be easy for Cypress Hill to lay back and coast on their reputations, but they're pushing boundaries like no other time in their careers on this album. I'm loving this song, great rock/rap hybrid, the two elements work together perfectly.

Great song and it seems to come together so effortlessly, and that's the best part about it. I hope there's more where this comes from.

Mike Shinoda is AMAZING to me, everything he touches turns to gold, and if it doesn't, it's at least silver. I'm pretty keen for this album now, Cypress Hills are back...

i zone out when i heard this ..it really does carry you away. i know that wa kinda blunt but i guess the succeeded. the beat and hook all tell you to let ago and let this take you someplace. its really only the verses that keep you grounded and this by no means a bad thing. Message was sent .Message was understood. 3.5 but could easily be a 4
