Less than a week after dropping Covert Coup, an eagerly anticipated project produced by The Alchemist, Curren$y is back with a new single #JetsGo. The rate at which this guy releases high-quality material is stupefying, and yet he makes it sound so easy. One could argue that it’s a true testament to his high-level of skill that puts him miles above your average “weed rapper.” The New Orleans native is creating his own high-echelon class of storytelling, insight, and double-entendres that have a way of slipping past the listener’s ears and infiltrating their psyche. While Covert Coup was a free download, the Rahki-produced #JetsGo is an iTunes exclusive. Let’s be honest, Curren$y puts out so much free music, paying $0.99 for a single every now and again is only fair. So dig between the cushions in your mom’s couch or snag some loose change from out the cup holders in the whip so you can cop #JetsGo and J.ust E.njoy T.this S.**t.

After return to the winners circle i was unsure if Curren$y could stay at the top of my favorite rappers list but after Covert Coup and this i know hes on the right track

I been really gettin into Curren$y lately. Love the dude's flow. Real smooth and effortless, and lyrically he isnt bad at all. Good beat on this track too. All makes for a real chill song. Good stuff.

NICE! That groove is so smooth. His flow is a perfect fit for this beat. Because of MMG's recent works I automatically heard Rickey Rozay in my mind, on the remix. This is something they would definitely get down with. Rahki managed to make a great beat here. I was already a fan of Curren$y but I hadn't picked up Covert Coup yet, but I see that its definitely a must.

It has taken forever - or the better part of 7 years and counting - but I think I have finally accepted Curren$y for who he is as an artist and fully embraced it. I found this record to be uniquely dope. Not many artists could pull this off without members commenting about it being a "yawner."

Curren$y is probably the best weed rapper out there. He puts Khalifa to shame. I still get frustrated with him, because I feel like he can always do better. I feel like he is always lacking energy. Dude still has immense talent, but its not really my cup of tea.

I Agree with DJ Freestyler. Return to the Winner's Circle just wasnt that great. Covert Coup was above expectations in my eyes. Currensy still has fans to win over. He can do no wrong in my eyes tho, this song is dope. Great hook

I am still trying to get into Curren$y. He is that dude that when he finished telling you sumn you are like, "what da f*ck are you talking about again?". Its like he told you so many things that you are stumped.
He songs arent bad but they just seem like random talking. |
