While it’s absolutely pouring down here on the East Coast, I managed to get enough Spring flavor yesterday to last me into next week (it would be nice to see the sun again before then, however). Since we’re looking at silver linings today, it only seems fair to talk about Cris Cab and his new release Good Girls. Following his successful debut on the Booth with My Life, the Miami native singer/songwriter throws down a pretty impressive performance on this one, mixing his own production in with a rhythmic song that has the ability to captivate listeners (not too shabby for a kid that’s not old enough to buy a pack of smokes). Whether you take him or leave him, his relaxing vibe is making some waves in the industry already. His unique take on music already has the heads of Good Girls and hip-hop heads turning, so be sure to keep a lookout for this talented Cuban via your local neighborhood DJBooth. With buzz like this building can a debut album be far off?

It's hard to believe this guy is only 17. He has so much talent an will definitely be big. I'm really digging the laid back, smooth vibe. What's even more impressive is that he produced it himself. For a kid thats only 17, he's got a whole lot of talent. He also does a unique, cool cover of Black and Yellow that's worth checking out.

Cab is uber-talented. The is lite, but effective. He should have a nice little career in the rhythmic/pop arena. I expect to also see him provide some hooks in the near future. He is young and has lots of years ahead of him.

Cris is making quality music on his own. There is no reason why this track wouldnt be on any music chart.
Again I say Bruno watch out...lol. |

Cris Cab is about to be huge... period. He is what Dave Mathews, Sting and John Mayer would be doing if they came up now under the influence of today's hip hop culture. I hear all of his influences, Bob Marley, The Police, Sublime Adam Levine... Kid will be on some extra large status shortly.

This is a good find, I can't pinpoint who he reminds me of but it's definitely a good thing. I'll be checking further for this kid, I'm quite impressed with all angles of this song from the voice to the way he rides the track and of course the music.

I really enjoy the chill vibe that these Miami artists have brought to the table recently. No I'm not talking Ross, T-Pain and all the big names... it's the newguys and unknowns. I can listen to this all day.
