Craig David has a résumé that most people would envy, but somehow has always fallen short of expectations stateside. With a greatest hits compilation scheduled for release on November 24, however, the Southhampton, Hampshire, England born-singer/songwriter offers this lil’ nugget for your entertainment. Insomnia, the only single off the project, is a hot, upbeat dance track with a bass-heavy beat courtesy of Timbaland protégé Jim Beanz. After the U.S. has a chance to elect its new president on the 4th of November, Americans will have the choice of requesting that this catchy song be played at radio and on music television. Insomnia finds David confident and energetic, two qualities that will play well with the club scene. The former Artful Dodger vocalist has created another scorcher; will you stay up all night listening?

lightweight sound like ne-yo but this is pretty good. Im feeling the production on this one. Its not catchy or nething it sounds like a average r&b song but i put in rotation

This could BLOW UP in the clubs. Reminds me A LOT of Rihanna's DISTURBIA. Anyone hear the similar flows? I am with my man, Kevin; Craig has long been slept on here in the States. This man is a talent!

me 2 i always liked craig david so this is another hit from him ....he changed his style but his voice just break the ice even if he doesn't sing melody's like the old times but i will always love his voice just a great singer

I absolutely LOVE this song! Craig David has an amazing talent!
It does remind me a bit of Ne-Yo's Closer. But This is a great song to dance to just like 'Hot Stuff (let's dance)' was. definitely going to go off in clubs. |

ChappyBoy before reading your comment I was already thinking the same as you...this is very very similar to Closer by Ne-Yo! Both the beat and the type of hook, it's impressing! I think this is more similar to Closer than to Disturbia by Rihanna...even if the type of song is the same, r&b/pop/techno. As Craig is famous in Italy and songs like this could also go in Italy, I hope to hear it in some Italian radios soon. Banger!

i love craig david! i dont know why he hasnt been big here in the states. i love all his albums! he is a wonderful artist. it sounds like ne-yo's closer a lil. but still lovin it! i can hear this song in the clubs now.

ChappyBoy was right on...it's a mix of Closer and something else and I can't put my finger on it. Songs good but since Closer did so well, it's not gonna get as much attention as it would have if it came out before Closer. Funny how timing is everything in this business! Still good though. I enjoy Craig David's style and look forward to his album.
