When last we featured Courtney Harris, she had just signed to Koch and was ready to go public with her Grown & Sexy style. The record, however, picked up mainly negative reviews from Booth readers, most of whom complained that it sounded “outdated”. Courtney must have been paying close attention, because the Jacksonville native’s latest release is a potential new single with a decidedly modern flavor. Though entranced by a man she sees, Courtney’s standards kick in; not wanting to Rush into trouble, she lets him know that she’s not going to be his one-night stand. Gerald “Strata G” Sheffield & CC Lemonhead once again handle production duties, but this time they bring out the synths and keyboards to attract the fanbase they might have turned off with Grown & Sexy. So, has Courtney’s plan worked? If you think so, stay tuned for the summer release of her debut album, Motivation.

I was a fan of "Grown & Sexy" because I am an old school Def Squad fan (Keith Murry is one funny dude). On RUSH, I am a fan because of its stars - Courtney on the vocals (minus the auto-tuned parts) and Strata G on the beat.
Though this might have trouble propelling CH into the homes of teenage girls everywhere, it does show that she is capable of plenty...

In my opinion the auto tune wasn't needed, as the production is already rather computerized. The final effect is something very confused! I don't even hear her voice, I didn't understand if it was hot or normal...the beat was ok, I don't think it was too slow. The verses are the best part, the hook is mediocre! 2,5

Courtney Harris and team this is for y'all: AUTOTUNE IS ANNOYING!!! Therefore I can't judge on the rest of the song, because u fukked it up!

This is one track where I can say that the autotune was not necessary and I usually like it. She probably has a nice voice and I would've liked to hear it. I liked the beat though. If this came on in the car I wouldn't turn it up or down.
