Considering his recent successes on The DJBooth – of course I’m talking about the banging Sweet and the expansive Blue SkyCommon’s more than earned the right to grab a few hundred of his closest friends, buy out the bar and simply Celebrate. The legendary Chi-Town emcee’s latest single finds him grabbing constant production partner No I.D. for a beat that manages to hold onto some soul amidst all the bottle popping (unsurprisingly I could completely hear Kanye on this beat too). Lyrically Common provides listeners with a hip-hop geography lesson, declaring that, “We partying / exotic Bratslavians / Spanish Somalians.” I think we can count that as the first Slovakia shout out in hip-hop history – never let it be said that Common doesn’t appreciate diversity in his groupies. But how about you DJBooth Nation? Does this latest release have you wanting to pop bottles, or turns on the lights and end the party? Either way, hopefully we’ll truly be able to celebrate another dope addition to Common’s catalog when his forthcoming album, The Dreamer, The Believer, drops in late December.

Common might have a classic album on his hands. Do yourself a favor and pre-order his new album after you're done listening to this new most-excellent offering.

After 20 years grindin' in the game, Common deserves to Celebrate. Beat is dope, chorus is nice and thick, good to hear Common and No I.D. again!

The beat on this is bananas, and the lyrics are great.

8/10

and, like, DJ Z said, this album has the potential to be one of Common's best. (esp. coming off of the awful UMC) Hopefully the rest of the album isnt filler.

Agree with Z, this album could definitely be a classic especially since all of his releases have been gold.

This beat was really average. The mood of the chorus is pretty lame to me. Its just too lazy sounding for me. Common has a good flow, but I can't see myself playing this back again and again.

Oh shnaap this is yet anutha delicious hk up from Common. True - despite the usual suspects tryna guerilla arm their garbage to the masses, 2011's definitely feels like it's been one dope year for real hiphop

It's alright. Sounds like the stuff I've heard from Common before. A decent smooth track, but nothing ground breaking. 3.5 stars

Solid track. I didn't like it at first, but it's grown on me. Reminds me off something from one of Kanye's first two albums.
