The city of Corpus Christi, Texas, has been home to several of the finer acts in popular music, producing extraordinary talent from the late great Selena to current-day singer Paula DeAnda. Ready to continue the ‘Sparkling City’ tradition are hip-hop/R&B duo Colorblind, composed of Latino rapper P3 and R&B singer Willie Wheat, who are looking to connect in a way anyone could relate to. On The Break Up Song, P3 has a lot on his mind; he hopes to uncover why his lady’s upset and how he can make it right. Meanwhile, Willie Wheat sees a similar pattern with his relationship and likewise is hoping to stabilize the situation. So, fellas, next time one of your friends gets dumped by his lady, tell him to play The Break Up Song; he’ll most likely feel a whole lot better!
The title of this song made me want to give this song a liste. This is a pretty good pop song that will be good for the spring/summer. I like it! Chorus has a taste of the vocoder, which I've came to accept that this isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Can't wait to see this one on TRL! haha!
I am really feeling the production on this track right here. Makes me want to play it louder and louder; and the chorus is hot. I'm not sure if I like how everyone is using the fast rap flow lately. I would say its a BANGER. Good overall feel to the song as a whole and dude can sing!
I thought BONE THUGS were featured in this song, but I was wrong. This is a smooth track. Hook is solid. Beat is fresh. I can definitely hear this song on the radio. Great singing.
This is a really interesting record. A lot of different styles and floating around in-between each other. I totally agree with jesavail02, beside the trendy talk box, their rapping style is extremely similar to BTNH. It sounds like this track is featuring 10 different people because of all the different styles of singing, rapping, and production effects combined.
Wow!!! This is definately a smash no doubt about that. These guys are sooo talented from the rapper's ability to have his own sound and the smooth vocals of the singer. Flawless good meaning with soul. This is definately worth listening to if you've ever had one of those back and forth relationships. Good luck Colorblind hope to hear more from you.
It's been a long time since this industry has seen someone who can flow faster than light and can sing just as good. Diggin this joint right here.... Good beat, good style, good flavor, good feeling. Adding this to rotation
Here we got one rare example of a good use of the vocoder. You see, you need more than the machine, it also requires individual talent and a decent tune. Thank God he doesn’t use the vocoder through the whole song and let us hear his real voice, which is good! The Bone thugs rapping style was great. Beat is very good, lyrics are relating, a great track overall! 4*
Willie is one of my very good friends and Ive known him all my life I am so proud of them the song is GREAT along with the Chevy song they made which is equally as good. This song can help anyone going through a break-up!!
This is a great song and Blaze i agree the guys knnow how to sing, but i dont really like what your talkin about either.. the way there fast rap flow on this song.. it just doesnt go well with the kinda slow and soothing chorus.. idk lol.
