Blind to You singer Collie Buddz, however, is all about getting hot and heavy via his mobile handset, as demonstrated by this newly-released single. As the Bermuda-born singer delivers a secondhand account of an erotic chat with his girl, Booth-acclaimed production duo K-Salaam and Beatnick man the boards, serving up a Caribbean-informed slow-jam instrumental with a characteristically lush, spacey sound – complete, of course, with plenty of sampled female moans. Is this steamy, reggae-influenced ode to phone sex a winner? That, Booth readers, is your call (lame pun intended). Collie Buddz’ forthcoming full-length, Finally…, is set to drop sometime this summer via Harper Digital/Mojizo Records. First Matisyahu and now Collie Buddz - yes, its the return of reggae-pop artists in the Booth tonight! Collie was able to tour for several years off just a few hit singles, so with a few more who knows what the future beholds for him. Is this one of those hit singles? Not sure it hits that note, but its an enjoyable listen.

I couldn't picture this on the radio but it's a great chilled out song just to kick it to. Collie's voice is so relaxing and the vibe just puts me into a laid back mood.

Personally I like my Collie Buddz a little harder and a little less horny, but this is the kind of song that could definitely get picked up by radio, so I have to respect it.
On a related note, did y'all forget how dope Come Around was? That song was the shit.

@nathan - come around was dope and that album is underrated in my opinion. This is good but his past two "singles" - herb tree and eyes - were much better.
