An unsung hero is a person who is not honored or praised for their considerable achievements in a particular field. Though he has yet to release his debut album, artist/producer Colin Munroe sees himself as one such unappreciated overachiever. In fact, the Toronto native feels so strongly about his talents (and the apparent lack of credit that he has been given), that he has entitled his forthcoming mixtape Colin Munroe Is the Unsung Hero. The project, which will feature appearances by Joell Ortiz, Mickey Factz and Blaqstarr, includes a remixed version of Munroe’s current buzz single, Will I Stay. Joining the indie hip-rocker (yes, I made that one up) is fellow industry newcomer Wale, as well as veteran producer and Rowdy Records labelmate Dallas Austin. Though Munroe handles the production himself, the underlying message of the record is what will truly leave an impression on listeners.

Wale is pretty good. i've liked almost everything except "Nike Boots". anyway his part was my favorite on here. This song is sort of mellow, and its usually the type of song i'd listen to, but somethin about it isnt clickin for me. i like how the beat stops. thats cool. This would go in rotation.

i've been on this site for a while so i'm pretty sure colin munroe's version of
"flashing lights" is on here. if you're digging this a little you'll like that a lot better. |

Feelin This. Wale sounds good with the track and the new guy sounds like a solo version of All American Rejects meets Drake Bell. 4 Star and I don't know but I think i'll be looking out for more of his tracks.

I gonna have to keep an eye out for Colie Munroe mixtape, I was banging his Flashing Lights remake when It came out ,and this track pretty tight too. Wale has a tight verse on here I like that he pauses on his flow just like the beat did. Overall pretty fly song.

The production is mad ill. Colin is a beast. I liked the last joint I heard from him where he remixed "Flashing Lights". Dude has a good vocal presence. He has a Adam Levine swagger to him. Wale has much swag on this track. I definitely liked the breath and stop part of the verse.

I like this. The beat stop is nice. Colin's voice his good for this kinda beat. Walk in the park with ya lady type music. This is met her for the first time music. When everything is innocent and brand new. Yea this is where this takes me.

I feel this Wale was hot on that Duffy remix before and he's hot on this too. Plus Colin just killed it.

Wow, I wasn't expecting this sound on DjBooth!!! I guess next time it'll be Jason Mraz... Colin's singing style and melodic approach is very similar. Nice vocals and production, percussion details are interesting! ;) Overall good vibe, like BDF described.

Not a bad song at all but not my type, either. After a while it bores me! I prefer songs like that of Joe Budden. They sound very good and for this reason I'd put this in rotation
