Colby O’Donis - I Wanna Touch You

Over the course of the past year, Colby O’Donis’ career has seen its share of peaks and valleys; despite the overwhelming success of lead single What You Got, Colby O peaked at an underwhelming #41 on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart. Just as many were beginning to write him off, though, O’Donis’ guest appearances on Lady Gaga‘s worldwide smash, Just Dance, and his boss, Akon‘s successful single, Beautiful, provided proof that the singer wasn’t about to fall by the wayside. In fact, he’s already getting started on his sophomore LP. New single I Wanna Touch You finds Colby O struggling to maintain self-control as he eyes a lady he knows is already taken. Complete with a keyboard-synth instrumental by KonLive in-house producer Red One, I Wanna Touch You has potential to be as successful a summer jam as What You Got was in ‘08. Will O’Donis’ proven formula yield another hit? We’ll have to wait until the single’s Memorial Day release to know for sure.

It sounds hip-hop, but at the same time, not. This track is hot. No doubt about it. It has replay value, and probably mass radio success. Colby did right on this one. I would say Banger, but...tht production pushes the rating up a star. I have to call this classic.
