Co$$ (aka Ca$hus King) - Now TIl Infinity
Artist: Co$$ (aka Ca$hus King)
Producer: Numonics
Album: Revelations
Label: Tres Records
The life of a hip-hop hopeful isn’t easy, especially when you take your craft as seriously as Show Sum emcee Co$$. Regardless of how tough the going gets, however, the Los Angeles native is determined to stay on his hustle – and keep getting that cheese – from Now Til Infinity. On the inaugural leak off his and Fort Lauderdale, Fla. beatsmith Numonics’ forthcoming mixtape, Ca$hus King pledges allegiance to the grind alongside a few equally driven underground talents. Joining the headliner over Nu’s stark chopped-sample instrumental are Lawrence, Massachusetts mainstay REKS and Kidz in the Hall member Naledge, the former blowing off his “fake friends” in a lyrically intense middle verse, and the latter offering a more laid-back perspective on the back end: “They only hate me ‘cause they ain’t me, stuck on high-school games…” If you found this retro-informed track inspiring, there are plenty more Revelations in store on Co$$ and Numonics’ forthcoming, 2DopeBoyz-presented street album, scheduled to hit the ‘net sometime in July.

Two under-the-radar emcees and a Kid from the Hall over a (as always) dope beat from producer Numonics. What could be bad, right?

Everything in this record comes together effortlessly. From the hook to the verses, you can clearly tell that the two emcees really put some time into making this. Haha wow! So glad I logged onto the booth tonight. BANGER!!!!

Numonics ALWAYS impresses, and I'm already a fan of both REKS and Naledge's material. The jury is still out on Co$$ in my court, but this is a step in the right direction.

Dope. Dope. Dope. 99 Til Infinity's still the greatest hip-hop song with the word Infinity in the title, but this is in the top ten. Beat's soft and knocks at the same time (props to Numonics) and Nalegde drops the kind of rhymes he did on Chicago Picasso. On repeat.

The rapping was tight from everyone. Not a real fan of the beat though.

Numonics with his his masterfully sampled strings and smooth drums lay down a perfect backdrop for the three emcees to get to work, and everyone of them delivers.

This track seems very jumbled up and boring.
