In July of ‘07, the Booth featured Clyde Carson‘s buzz single Doin’ That; in addition to being Carson’s first official single (and one of my first assignments at the Booth), it was also Sean Kingston’s first guest verse. Though Carson’s debut, Theater Music has remained on hiatus, a previously unreleased recording has surfaced in the Booth. In Da Club finds Carson once again alongside Kingston, and Black Wall Street boss The Game also hops aboard. Major accolades should be directed towards super-producer J.R. Rotem for a beat that contains so much of a techno sound, it could have easily gone to Wiz Khalifa. Although In Da Club was originally intended for inclusion on Theater Music, it is no longer slated to be featured on the album. Stay tuned to DJBooth for further developments on Clyde’s recording future.
YEAH SEAN KINGSTON LAYS A CATCHY HOOK DOWN ON THIS,THIS BEAT SUITS HIM NICELY THE GAME DROPS ANOTHER SOLID VERSE AND CLYDE CARSON HOLDS HIS OWN ON HERE CANT HATE THIS COZ I CAN BUMP IT IN THE CLUB..
Not a fan of Kingston. At least he ain't doin bad 50's remakes anymore. Carson is kickin ass out here. Game is the king. What can I say. It the WEST BAYbeee
I don't like Clyde's flow on here...And the production just sounds way too commercial to me. I don't like the chorus, and I couldn't even take it enough to get to the Game's verse...
This is the song I was looking for! Went to this party and they were bumping it! I'm not a fan of Kingston, but he's improving. The beat, its cool, I could dance to this. This song should be a banger. So ill give it a 5 to even it out a bit.
I like this one right here. Carson got a nice flow on this track and sean kingston is bringin his other side out finally. I've been waitin for him 2 stop wit dem kiddy games since i heard colors and game always got it but its somethin dat doesnt say classic......i think its da hook......but its still a banger 2 me
j.r. rotem does his thang on the production a nice synth poppy beat...kingston holds his own on the hook...clyde carson is aight on his verses...not a banger but def listenable...
Game has a hot flow, but every verse he does mentions his car. Listening to Documentary, all I heard was 6'4, Dre, cronic, bandana, impala. I still love that CD tho.
haha one thing i do have to say about this boy is Sean Kingston really does know how to lay a catchy hook. Its alright I'm gunna give it in rotation just cuz I feel like it'll fit right in there with 7 hottest songs at 7. Nothin unique abotu this one.
