Representing the South Florida region of Palm Beach, rapper Clete recently signed a major deal with Universal Records. Looking to make an immediate splash, he spent a portion of his advance to pick up a big-name feature for his first single, the bedroom jam Takin’ It. Although the label will have fun turning this into a radio edit (yes, that was sarcasm), after they do, it should be a hit thanks in part to heartthrob Pleasure P‘s guest appearance and producer Jackpot‘s hypnotic beat. After all, when you title your album Get Money or Kill Ya Self, we wouldn’t want to see Clete fail, right?
This is decent. The beat is a lil better than average. The flow is just missing something. The chorus is also mediocre. I don't think this is hit material, but I may be wrong. It just seems like it isn't done or something is missing.
I AGREE W/ DJ BLAZE BOUT THE BEAT...BUT I WANNA ADD THAT I DONT SEE Y THUS DUDE GOT SIGNED THERE R FAR BETTER RAPPERS IN FLA THEN HIM...HE SOUNDS LIKE A POOR VERSION OF PLIES N SO UNORIGINAL..PLEASURE MAKE THIS JOINT OKAY BUT STIL DOESNT SEEM LIKE A HIT TO ME.
A radio edit ... LOL. Every single word needs to be replaced on this track. You must be kidding. This was totally unexpected. Beat is nice. Pleasure P didn't not ENHANCE the track. Clete needs to SAVE his money.
I like it, just don't like it when rappers chat about @*#$! all the time...like Webbie's first mainstream album, all about @*#$!. Plies the real testament, all about @*#$!. so annoying cos I like Plies but he ruins himself for that. this song is good though, Pleasure P did this same thing with Pretty Ricky though too, on their 2nd album. Always said Pleasure shoulda gone solo. All in all, woulda been a quality tune if it wasn't all dirty and ish, I think this kinda talk ruins songs. I aint a prude, far from it, just saying its too much sometimes.
GOOD LAWD! I looove to see how their label is going to edit all this out. I like the music but I could do without the lyrics. This is not something I can sit around & listen too.
ok first off, the title of his album?? Get Rich Or Kill Ya Self??? WTF is it supposed to be a remix of 50? Come original man. And I grew up playing soccer, so when I saw his name was Clete I couldnt help but laugh. What a corny name. And why is it 1? Couldn't afford 2 cletes? ok now that I've been too hard on him, the beat's aight, nothin special bout him
tha way he raps is like a faster version of Gucci Mane...but jea im really feelin this beat...and tha hook is aiight...to be from Pleasure...lol...i would like to see wut T-Pain would've done to tha track...~
Amazing, great verses, amazing hook, nice laid back beat. I expected to hate this but its a banger. He's got some funny ass lyrics that first verse "the @*#$! is a house, ima stay in it" lol
If they try to actually edit this, it will completely lose what is so great about it... the un-edited parts! This is very catchy and if the FCC didn't exist, it would be the #1 song at urban-radio. Too bad for the FCC it will only be a hit on the dl.
This song is alright. The production and lyrics are better than average, but not amazing. It sound like it would have fit in well on Pretty Ricky's first cd.
i like it! pleasure sound good on it. the beats alrite, but wow...the lyrics kinda caught me off guard at first but i like it overall. and yeah his name is kinda wak.
Hey this song is the shyt my boo love this song but I couldn't just sit around and listen to it. Its got a nice beat to it but I could leave the words in the trash but this song is cold though. NO DAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!......LOL
mane this song is a hit.pleasure killed the hook and the chorus.clete needs more work.he wanna be to much like plies if u ask me.just imagine if this was plies song insted of clete.he would have killed it wit the same verse.plies babbyy
i like dis..dis hot..and sexy..oooo weee pleasure voice can do sum thangsz to you..if u kno wut i mean...but yea i jus dont like that he use the word "@*#$!" like 30 million tymesz in one verse and threw the whole song..its a lil too sexually...but i still love it
