Ladies, take heed: if you want to win over Booth newcomer CL-SiCK, you’d better bring your ‘A’ game; if you don’t have what it takes make the Jersey native’s heart race like he’s high on MDMA, don’t expect to get a second look. This newly-leaked cut off the up-and-comer’s forthcoming street album finds him chilling at the local club, when he locks eyes with a gorgeous female from across the room. With the help of a little liquid courage (“Wasn’t nervous, Patron shots drowned the butterflies”), SiCK gets straight to game-spitting. CL’s smooth-talking, ride-flaunting bars come backed by the spaced-out boardwork of Kajmir Royale, who pairs downtempo percussion with rubbery synth arpeggios and tops it all off with a hook Chipmunk-sampled from Roller Girl’s Close to You, (which was pretty high-pitched to begin with). Will CL-SiCKs’ So Far a Kid About Nothing live up to the three smash hit mixtapes crammed together in its title (So Far Gone, A Kid Named CuDi and The Mixtape About Nothing)? It’s certainly a tall order – we’ll find out for sure on January 1, 2010.

"Let's get back to you like we were on V" hahaha, Pol B just said, "I am double you like after V" Two clever alphabet lines in one night. CL-SiCK didn't impress me over this nice production.

Dope track, the production is there, a hype song. What I worry about is the lyricism, or just the overall writing talent on this, creative concepts intertwined and laced with average diction; can only be enhanced with multi syllable rhyme schemes, and clever concepts. Getting the rhyme schemes on point, develops your flow, diction, wording and style ten-fold. Other than that, everything is formative, and you know what you're doing. Keep it up, peace.

the beat+the chorus were sick and it made the song seem like it was a trance and hyped me up and got me excited. the lyrics were good too. overall the song was pretty good

Actually come to think of it, this is more of a mainstream banger, rather than a lyrical track, basing it on terms of that, don't know why this can't be on the radios, the hook is catchy. KEEP IT UP.

I'm not going to lie my rating is totally biased towards KAJMIR ROYALE's
boardwork!!! I tried so hard to focus on the lyrics..but I kept finding myself bouncing and ignoring them! ^_^ |

This is the kind of production that could have overwhelmed a lot of lesser rappers, but CL-Sick did the beat justice and then some. Definitely digging this. Do I smell a "Blame it on the X" remix on the way? Let's make it happen.

Looks like we have a lot of first time members in the house. I assume you all came to support CL, but I hope you stay for the quality content we unleash on a daily basis.
Nice introduction from Mr. Sick. Took me a few listens to give this one the nod for a feature, but I think its a step in the right direction for his young career.

Of his tracks this a song I'd play to get ppl hyped..good mixture of a pop/techno feel and some cocky content - the type of thoughts that come to mind when you're actually at the club "alright I smoke a lotta sour so I need something sweet and, love, you fit that description to a T" |
