In the 5th century AD, Augustine of Hippo wrote the book The City of God, which focused on the conflict between society’s obsession with fame and fortune and the true standards of goodness and quality. Some 1600 years later, an underground alt-pop group has adopted the name. Foregoing major control for creative freedom, the City of God collective released their debut album, Rebirth of Swag, this past August, to little mainstream fanfare. Together with producer Matt LaPlant, “spacebois” Smalls, Industry, Rocko, Tiago, and “spacegurl” Tata put together a laid-back ballad about spotting someone special at their favorite hangout. While the preceding topical explanation is perhaps the most overused song setup found in the Booth, the overall feel is so fresh that it might make listeners want to Fly Away.

yeah this is a "cross-genre" song.. thats me all the way, but that chorus needs work.. she made her voice TOO deep. but anyway the verses were ok. this song is just average.

Damn the production is hot on this one!! Nice combination of genres and Im starting recently to like all these songs that incorporate the mixture of genres. The lryics is pretty good and the beat is hot!! Banger!! Chill back music

This sounds so LIVELY with the guitar & drums and that fake ending was nice. The live-like production makes my 4* granted plus the solid vocals, flow and overall melody just tell me I’m right.

FredRico I completely agree with you, this song would be insane live! The useage of instruments and production is soooo smooth, along with the creative vocals. Great song to lay back and chill to. This is music people, I'm not sleeping on this group.

I dig the live instrumentation. This reminds me of some City High/Black Eyed Peas. This is definitely eclectic and overall a real tyte joint. "In a world of cliche and the lack of creativity, innovation is the key"! (A Young Son proverb original!)
