Growing up between South Bronx and Brooklyn, Booth newcomer City Haze was surrounded by hip-hop from an early age, and it wasn’t long before he decided to step into the spotlight as an artist in his own right.  Though the up-and-comer’s dedicated to his grind, that doesn’t mean he’s about to neglect his lady—when she sends him an early-morning text, he responds “I’m On My Way!” hops into the shower, and heads out the door. CH’s woman has every reason to keep faith—complete with a hook by up-and-coming R&B singer Levar Thomas and a slow-jam instrumental by Andrew Lloyd, this single couldn’t sound more heartfelt, and its soulful appeal will likely net it a spot on next week’s Independent Charts.  City Haze’s debut album, Star of the City drops September 5th; in the meantime, expect him to stand alongside K. Sparks and Pay$0z as one of the Booth’s most frequently featured NYC buzzmakers.

When MULTIPLE people Tweet and Email me, letting me know that I need to push a certain record to the top of my "new music folder" priority list, I tend to listen. Three or more co-signs usually does that. With this new City Haze cut, that is exactly what happened. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised. Dope production, dope hook (total throwback to the 90s), and a solid delivery!

This is another great track from a unsigned artist. His flow is pretty sweet and it suits the great hook & production. Definitely worthy of being in my rotation

Great track, especially for an unsigned artist. Perfect hook for a track like this, fantastically uplifting. Definitely a strong talent here, a flow that suits this style very well and has a touch of musicality to it.

It's been a while since a new artist has released something with this throwback vibe, really enjoying it. And I gotta give it to the production, cause it is rock solid for a relatively unknown and unsigned artist.

The music is pretty and them 2 sound great together, it's just that the overall melody bored me a lil. I thought it was gonna be more catchy! Solid but still not banger
