Cities Aviv may be the type to forget a woman’s name and lose her number the morning after a one-night stand but, when it comes to music, he’s thinking long-term; in fact, he aims to create music that’ll keep his name on listeners’ lips Forever. Today, we get our first taste of the Memphis representative’s era-bridging style by way of his latest single, the final pre-album release off his next project. Unpronounceably-named beat crew RPLDGHSTS reach back to the ‘80s for inspiration on the production tip, crafting a driving, reverb-soaked synth/percussion backdrop for Aviv’s fly, yet reflective bars. Time to weigh in, Booth readers: has this Southern buzzmaker created one for the ages? If you’re leaning towards the affirmative, you won’t want to miss the rest of what Cities Aviv’s got in store on new street album Black Pleasure, due out tomorrow (November 13) via MISHKA.

I still don't know if I am sold on an entire project that sounds like this, but as a loosie/stand alone I dig it.

Not sure what I think about this sound. The vocals are too soft to me. The beat stands out more on this.

I like the beat and I dont.. It sounds like something I would hear in forever 21 but their style is usually pop indie.This track feels like a mix a 3-4 different genres. I like it because it is Interesting.. banger!!

I like the way Cities Aviv spit the verses over this beat. This is definitely something different, but still really fly.

I appreciate the need to be original and different, but at the end of the day the track really didn't keep me interested. The overall style and direction of the track just wasn't befitting to my taste, but I would highly suggest giving it a shot considering it was a bit out of the ordinary and interesting to listen to.
