They say what happens at the club stays at the club, right? Until you hear Turn It Up and it reminds you of EVERYTHING you did the previous night. Whether you’re a fine female out with her friends or a guy looking to get next to those females, Ciara’s latest provides the perfect soundtrack to dance floor festivities. Produced by Tricky Stewart and T-Minus, Turn It Up is that fusion between hip hop, r&b and electro that has clubs going crazy, an uptempo track with snappy kicks that keeps your heartbeat moving while Ciara and guest Usher’s singing soothes your soul, providing that up and down feeling that only 4Loko offers (illegal now in some states!). The combo of Ciara and Usher work in cohesion as they take turns with verses but handle the chorus in unison, exemplifying the contrasts in each other’s voices. Turn It Up isn’t the newest single (it could eventually be) from Ciara’s Basic Instinct album, but the project did hit stores this past Tuesday, so make sure to cop one for your gal pal for Xmas. Some folks might be disappointed that a Ciara and Usher collaboration isn't more dynamic, but personally I think this works. The clubs will spin it, radio (should it be sent in that direction) would happily play it, and if the label has their way everyone will be sick of it in less than 4 months.

I mean the song is ok for what it is and it's actually the song that appeals the most to me on her new album. but is it just me getting older or is also someone else tired of party songs? I need more substance!

Good beat, good vocals. I think this one will be playing for about 3 - 4 months, and then everyone will forget about it, due to another song that sounds exactly the same, about the same things.

I agree with Z, I expected this to blow my mind. But as always two big names dont equal smash hit.
With that said, its still a good track. I will be moving to this in the club. |

I agree with "Z" and "Leon D" on this. I exspected this to be striaght fire, but its not. Its a good artist (Ciara) with a legend (Usher). Just some great dancers, here trying to make another club banger. And thats exactly what they did. This will be played alot in the clubs and on the radio. A banger for me.

This will definitely go hard in the club. Lots of nice R&B club bangers coming out lately. This can go into "club-rotation" like the rest of them Usher, Miguel, etc club tracks.

I thought the production on this would be a little more inspirng, but it's a decent dance track. Anybody notice the melody is the same as from Justin Timberlake's Lovestoned (I think that she knows interlude)

Catchy & very energetic... This is what works best for Ciara... and Usher... he can't go wrong. This track doesn't move my soul but love it as a simple, hot dance/club track.

Usher is always impressive, always proving to be a great feature on any track, the title of the track allows people to know the track is going to be good because such of a presence.
