Lead singles get remixes. That’s the way the game works, especially if that lead single winds up getting some serious press for being banned on BET. And so today we have Ciara grabbing producer Bei Maejor and the elusive Andre 3000 for the Bei Maejor Remix to her DJ Booth-featured single Ride. True, Maejor sneaks in a verse to lead into Ciara’s seductive vocals, but let’s be honest; the only rhymes we’re really interested in hearing belong to Mr. Benjamin. Over some booming bass crafted by Maejor (similar to Ghost Town DJs’ My Boo), 3 Stacks lays down some lyrical game equating Ciara to “Chaka Khan fine, Anita Baker sweet.” The man could go in a hyperbolic chamber and still come out light-years ahead of whoever’s competing with him. While Ciara’s new album Basic Instinct may not have a set release date, hopefully radio will eat up this remix as viewers keep clamoring to see the video to the original. You can ban a sexy ATLien, but you can’t stop her.

Always a pleasure hearing from Andre 3k (who is still contractually linked to the same label behind Ciara, Jive), but this remix just came to quickly.
The original version still has plenty of growth in it and I have a feeling that this remix might stunt that growth. Maybe its just a ploy to get more spins in the club? Really, who knows these days (they don't consult us on these decisions)?

the orig is one of the worst songs in music in recent memory (deserving of 0 stars), but i lik ethe uptempo beat and Andre 3k here so i will give it a 1.

i was extremely disappointed with this track... with everyone on it especially Ciara... she has made way way better music this this and she isn't going up with putting this one out

with all of the low ratings i felt a need to ee what ciara did terribly wrong... they did chage this song substancially, this version seemed forced , like a mix they would do in the club with techno beats. but it's okay. i like the original better. and the original is 3 stars. so this can only get 2 from me

Yall out of your mind if you can give this 1 star. The original was 5 stars, and the same goes for this. It's radio friendly, Andre was sick, Bei Maejor provided a nice intro, I mean, what's wrong?

Basically, we're all here wondering whether or not Three Stacks killed this remix. Maybe it's because the Bei Maejor beat reminds you of going to the skating rink and is so coated in mid 90s So So Defness.
Either way, you can't blame Ci-Ci for trying to reignite a career currently stuck in limbo. |

this woulda been better if Ciara re-recorded her lines to actually match the melody, because here it just feels unnatural. but the beat is poppy enough and works.

Wait, we get months without any new Andre 3K material, and now we get two new verses (here and the last Big Boi track) within a few days? The lord works in mysterious ways. Bei Maejor's intro verse is unfortunate, but Andre comes nicely - basically the same flow from John Legend's Green Light, huh?
joshL Ride is one of the worst songs in recent memory? That feels a little dramatic. I've heard ten worse songs in the last 24 hours - MIMS Donkey Booty comes to mind.

original was 5 stars and so is the remix...however...i still haven't found an explicit version of the remix. not sure if this one is or not b/c i haven't listened, but will check it out later. if it's not, anywhere know where i can get the explicit version??

Z is right the original is a grower, at first when i heard it in my car i was like "oh hell no" and now i let it ride on low volume (no pun intended) but im not sure this has the same potential as the original even with andre 3k on it.

This could be way better. Bei Maejor was alright, but corny. Ciara has fallen off in my opinion. Andre was probably the only good thing about this track.

Actually I like the original, but like this too because its kind of a throwback to dance/bass music, like Ghost Town DJ's - My Boo. Ciara has fallen off a bit to me lateley. She seems to be putting in alot of work on her projects but things don't seem to be working out like I'm sure she would like. Hopefully everything works out because I'm a fan.

This reminds me that Ludacris's verses were so much more entertaining lyrically a while ago. All he does now is flex his flow, but it is like getting a beautiful wrap without the candy

Ciara's singles are always Sick, but then the albums don't ever live up to the singles. I hope she has more luck this time. I think she has a good voice (on the tracks in the studio anyway...not sure about live). She is a good performer and she can dance better than any girl in the game. The original version is MUCH better than this one; production-wise anyway. Its great to hear Andre-3000 again and he makes the song better. He always rips a beat. One of the BEST rappers in the Game EASY! I like the beat-change!
