Grind. Dance. Up and down. Ride? Fine with me. What goes better together than heavy bass and lapdances? Nothing! Ciara has returned with a summer smash that will have girls dancing seductively on their beaus for months to come. She enlists fellow ATLien Ludacris to come through and close out the song in game-winning fashion similar to Mariano Rivera. With a catchy chorus and an energy-filled verse from Luda, this combo doesn’t disappoint like the #1 at McDonalds with extra sauce. A friend of mine actually commented the other day that he plans on making Ride his new official lapdance song. After a listen to this, could we really disagree with him? Tricky Stewart and The-Dream handle the production on the song, crafting a beat worthy of a true banger. Ride will appear on Ciara’s upcoming album titled Basic Instinct, which as of right now does not have a release date set. As the temperature increases, so will the spins that Ride will receive, as it looks to be a staple of this summer’s club scene

Ciara made two excellent decisions here. First, she hooked up with Dream and Tricky. I am not sure they can make uncatchy tunes. Second, she picked the surest guest feature in the business... Ludacris. I have no doubts whatever that this will be all over the radio all summer long. It's not as memorable as some of her past hit singles, but rewind-worthy nonetheless.

i've missed Ciara and glad she's back. this is a straight banger. i'll be disappointed if it doesn't go anywhere.

The beat is a bit to repetitive and electric for my taste. Ciara isn't bad but i'm not really a big fan of her. Guest verse was ok also. It was altogether an OK song. DJ Z I really hope your prediction of this being on the radio all summer long is wrong... If not i guess im going to stick to CD's of my choice for the summer instead of radio.

The fastest way to my high rating is a production by Dream and Tricky. However, it seemed like she was holding back here. The hook just wasn't all that impressive to me, and I don't think this will get too big on the charts. Luda was as always excellent though. Eh I don't know maybe it will grow on me.

I could kinda care less for the chopped intro. Its good and I would love to test it out on the dancefloor, but I don't think it will smash the radio but it should pick up some hits.

Damn Ciara is looking fine in that photo!
Chopped and Screwed to start this one off. I have always loved Ciara and to this day I still rock "Goodies" like it just came out yesterday. This has tons of radio appeal and will be a sure winner with the ladies. And not to leave the guys it was an extremely smart move to bring Luda in for a verse. Another sharp verse for him and some classic one liners too. His wordplay and flow have to be some of the most unique in the game. Ciara does a great job on the hook and really brings this one around. Like I said I can see this one blowing up, but at the same rate I can see it not getting the radio play it deserves. Either way, solid effort all around, 3 1/2 rounded up. |

I was expecting more from this track, especially considering Ciara hooked up with the biggest production team in R&B Tricky Stewart & The-Dream and currently the most in demand rapper in hip hop Ludacris.
I wouldnt be suprised to here this over in Australia, though I dont think its as good as her previous hits. |

Great song to come back, after she fell off with the Fansty Ride album. Dream and Tricky gave her a banger and Ciara takes full control and ownes the song. But who better to feature than Luda and like I knew he would he easily upgrades the song. Great track to have everyone pumped for her return.

@Niko203, I agree with you the beat is a little too electronic. Overall it's a good song though, her voice sounded good and Ludacris' verse was awesome. @DJ Brookllen, she does look good.

Straight fire. It's not quite an "Oh" but it's definitely a "High Price". Luda and Ciara make a great tag team. I would LOVE to hear a Luda/Ciara/Missy track. It's not like any of those artists are unfamiliar with working with one another. (Luda has 2 tracks with Missy and 3 with Ciara. Ciara has 2 with Missy as well)
This is going to be a Top 10 single. Any bets? |

The chopped intro was un-necessary, but Ciara elevated this track all the way up to banger status by herself. Ludacris is always a nice addition. Not much left to say. This was good.

The intro reminded me of a song that might come from Houston with the whole screwed part. The production is amazing with the synth heavy style and more likely then not this will be on the radio. And another Luda guest feature isn't surprising...and of course he brought his catchy lyrics("call me LudaDrewBrees I'll throw it in") and high energy. As some people mentioned before it's doesnt have the memorable hook to keep up remembering this song...but I'm sure this will be a hit. I mean what can go wrong when you have Luda on the track?!

This will be huge that is a promise. Luda is on fire right now with radio hits and if they get this out in time Ciara should be able to "ride" that momentum all the way to the top again.
Girls WILL get freaky to this that is for sure. |

The female and male side of ATL team up again, Ciara seems to show off her vocals more in this song than she normally does which is both good and bad. Not something you can really dance to, but a good song to ride with. The chopped and screwed in this song is a bit out of place. The beat is straight and the chorus is good and catchy. Luda, as expected, spits about what he does to his girls and always is a smash. Going to be hear this one a good amount on the radio for sure. I was expecting something terrible, but this certainly is not. Tree and a half stars, but I'll give it a four.

This song reminds me a lot of "oh" but not quite as good. It's better than "high price" tho IMO. I'd say this Ciara going back to a sound that she knows works for her. Ludacris had an exciting guest verse on this one and Tricky and The-Dream do well on the boards as always. I don't expect this song to do as well as "oh" did, but it deserves a decent amount of radio spins.

This is going straight to the club!
The beat grabs a hold of you, and makes you want to grab a hold of your girl. Thumping bass combines with the synth strings in the background, which are loud enough to shape the track, but not enough to be distracting. I like the production. And Ciara, I do love the way you ride...the beat. Silky smooth, and oh so sensual. I also didn't dig that weird "ah ah ah ah" voice in the background of the hook. It doesn't really fit, and it actually is done right at 2:07!! More of that would have been great. @Z, you're right, Luda was a great choice. He has great energy, and adds a fitting verse. It adds some nice variety to the track. It loses two stars because of that annoying voice at the beginning and the end (I seriously can't stand that) and for the weird hook background voice. But it's in rotation. If it comes on at the club, get ready for some grinding. |

Chopped intro is meh at best... good thing it picks up from there. Trying not to listen to this too much because just one tells me I'll be hearing this for a while via the radio. Ludacris goes wild with his perfect delivery as usual.
So, a success basically. |

HEY SEXII HOW YA DOIN!!!!
still makin musik i see well when you done hitin the studio you can hit up me and we can do whatever.....if you feel like it but im pretty sure your gonna wanna ride wit me!!!!!! instantly the begining intro was bad-azz that grabbed my attention good thing this song had a feature because its supposed too be epic and should doo good on 106&park; top 10 next week or as soon as the video is made. "she rides me like a roller coaster, and as soon as we get too the top,..she screeaammmmmsss" ok feature by luda could have been longer and he could have had input throughout the track but his feature did its job this is 3.5 good rotation on my mp3 haha plus issnt that I-10 on the intro and the ending because it sounds like him! |

Yeah this is cool, Luda went hard, but their best collabo has gotta be High Price that joint was crazy!
Not sure how this one will go on the charts...Ciara has seemed to have lost her hit making touch lately..the beat might be too raw for radio...saying that, Rihannas Hard was all over the radio and that was raw-er than this! 3 stars |

Weak single and too long for its own good. Not any sort of fresh approach to the usual content and for me, the unvaried production lacks the necessary punch the song needs. Okay at very best.

While this a little bit enjoyable, and probably will blow up, this is just as same as all of her previous work, I mean a club beat, a southern rap feature, you have drop something fresh and new once in a while.

Obviously, a very provocative song...But Ludacris completely showed her up! The hook was catchy, but became repetitive after a while.
Conclusion: Disappointing, repetitive, I really expected more. Good idea, but poorly executed. |

Not catchy enough to make up for the lack of originality.
Seriously, who cares if it's Ciara singing it? It simply doesn't have a distinct sound or "swag" at all. A single shouldn't be "rotation for a small time only" worthy. |

Vocally and lyrically on Ciara's part. Unfortunately I see these bum ass 6 track playlist radio stations in NY playing this at least twice every 45 mins hopin nobody notice. And Luda's verse, wasn't even a verse, its too short.

Right from the start the beat catches you. Nice voice quality from Ciara on this track (though not one of her best) but it will get plays on EVERYBODYS radio. Luda ended it well and put the song to the next level. Go Luda!
