While Sacramento’s Chuuwee and North Carolina native Sundown (of Actual Proof) live on opposite sites of the country, their mutual love for the Star Wars films has brought them together as collaborators. Carbonite, the inaugural leak off their joint project, finds Sundown serving up a gritty instrumental backdrop (complete with the obligatory sample from The Empire Strikes Back) as he and he partner-in-rhyme trade bars with guest emcee Drique London. Watch for The Millennium Falcon to hit the ‘net on Friday, January 20.

It started out slow (especially for a non-Star-Wars fan like myself), but it picked up the pace and Chuuwee ripped it. The beat is a bit average to me, but the artists are the standout on this joint. Everyone provided good deliveries on here. I f#cks with it.
