Buzzed, tipsy, sloshed, trashed, wasted, blotto… with the sheer quantity of English words for degrees of intoxication, it can be hard to keep them straight – especially when you aren’t seeing straight. If you frequently find yourself struggling to select the perfect adjective, you’re in luck: on unreleased cut Level Up, Chitown emcee Chuck L.i. vastly simplifies the process with an ingenious numerical system. With Tapez’ club-ready synths and handclap percussion as his backdrop, the up-and-comer takes us through three levels of of inebriation in as many verses. Zero, of course, is absolute sobriety. Once you find yourself forgetting your own name, (“Can’t identify myself, I’m feelin’ kinda dumb.”), you can be certain you’re at level one. From there, it’s just a hop, skip and a jump till you’re at level two, which involves opening your wallet to buy drinks for the entire room. And you’ll know you’re at level three when… well, you won’t know, because you’ve lost consciousness. Simple, right? If you found this joint as entertaining and edifying as I did, keep it locked; Level Up is currently unattached to a forthcoming project, but you’ll be the first to know when that changes.

I had the good fortune of hearing this cut a few months back at a studio session with Chuck. I must say, it bumps just as much now as it did when I first heard it. The Tapez production bangs - hello Timbaland - and Chuck's energetic vocals go with it superbly. More of this, gentlemen.

The production was done really well by Tapez. I particularly enjoyed the hook. It evokes the feeling of crawling to hug the toilet after a crazy night. I guess its perfect for the drunk and confused. Chucks vocals, though monotone was a good choice for the beat. It was a good balance with the two.

Agree with Equinox, the production is the strongpoint here. Feeling the chorus, but the 3rd verse is pretty weak. Overall its a track I want to play again, definitely a great party track.

I like this team, its just a matter of time. That major hit is coming from this duo. The bit the vocals and the hook will all be in sync. this track is quality work and you can hear the progress. Good Work Guys. Keep Going

This is a good track, but I'm not feeling it as much as everyone else. His voices is interesting but it's a little too monotone for my tastes, I guess it fit the concept for the song, but it wasn't that appealing. The production is on point, but I wasn't feeling his flow all that much.

I like the originality on this track. I can't remember the last time I heard a song that sounded like this.
