Despite being one of the more positively-reviewed R&B singers on DJBooth.net (see Late 4 Us, I Wish, and Girlfriend), Chrishan, for some unfathomable reason, remains unsigned to this day. For his new single (and first Booth feature since August of ‘08), the ATL/Twin Cities representative goes straight for the easy target: when a certain female’s sporting Red Jeans, he has no trouble picking her out of a crowd, and, of course, he’s also curious to find out what’s inside that eye-catching outfit! Newcomer J Watts gets his chance to shine with a high-powered guest verse, but, as the mix makes clear, it’s still Crishan all the way. Red Jeans showcases the creative spark we’ve all come to expect from the singer—will the labels FINALLY take note?

This track is pretty cool, but nothin too special tho. I like the production a lot, but the piano sample (repeating like that) just overpowers Chrishan's vocals, which are pretty good. The fact that it overpowers his vocals in turn makes the hook less powerful, which reduces its catchiness. Its not a bad track, so I'm sure plenty will be feelin it. Just nothing too special for me.

Chrishan is goingg to make it HUGE sooner or later.. Its just a matter of time, This production is fireeee with the piano, It has a real Dream-esque to it I think, This track is on the creative side, I dontt think they were aiming for radio audience or anything, they were just making a song, but in turn it could possibly end up on the radio anyway..

Im feeling the production and the piano sample works well with his voice. The hook is solid and J Watts brings a nice short verse. The piano sample is a little overpowering but I got over it after a while. Nice track

the whole thing is kinda uninspired and listless, chrishan's voice is too thin to handle the high piano sample, would sound much better with a lower sample to contrast

Something about the R&B lately is staring to sound jaded with so many similar sounds (backbeat, choice of instrumentals, even pitches).
To me, this is placed in a pile of other nameless songs that pass through my mind when I think of mediocre rnb. 2 stars for the cool name |

Yup! this is some Dream-esque shizness ...
I like his singing abilities ... Kinda catchy beat, maybe worth a couple listens .... Watts adds good energy to dis ... but all in all The singing is enjoyable, but the production doesn't cater to his true vocals.... |

ok he can sing, but his voice is not powerful enough to stick out, and to make someone say dam dude is ill.... na .. r&b is DYING... everybody soundin the same, my god this sounds so similar...... i aint gon trash dudes ratings like that, so ima give him a 3 for effort and cuz it wasnt wack in all aspects...just no creativity, sounds too similar..

I used to like a pair of songs by Chrishan, but this one isn't telling me anything really. Could go in the clubs but it has nothing that really stands out to me
