Chris Brown - Look at Me Now
Artist: Chris Brown
Featuring: Lil Wayne , Busta Rhymes
Producer: Diplo
Album: F.A.M.E.
Label: RCA
Happy New Year and Happy Disappointing Collaboration! Okay, so maybe I’m being extra hard on Chris Brown’s self released Look at Me Now, featuring the kings of guest feature slaughter, Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes. From simplistic production that doesn’t get more complicated than overusing a flanger and a snare combination to Breezy actually being compelled to disperse a few bars here and there, there’s not a lot to celebrate here. Sure, Brown’s been known to vocally lay down some swagger, but embracing his cocksure attitude doesn’t exactly translate on wax. He delivers a 90% rapped 10% sung verse that Big Sean would have crushed with flawless ease but sounds awkward coming from Brown. Luckily placing a trademark Busta Rhymes triple-time flow and Lil Wayne’s attention grabbing reintroduction into the world on the back end keeps the track from being the first serious dud of 2011; the two titans turn Brown’s “verse” into an afterthought and leave listeners in a dizzy spell with numerous couplets stacked on top of each other. Let’s hope this is the beginning of a busy year for both Weezy and Busta, and hope that Breezy sticks to singing. Keyword - hope.

I'm taking a different outlook with this one. Clear out what you already know about Chris Browns musical history and this is a hot club burner with a ton of ego leaking all over. Sure, I prefer Chris singing but I think this one will hit exactly where it's set out for - the clubs..similar to Yeah 3x aiming for radio. Busta was the highlight here though, that flow was nuts.

wow, i thought this was actually a good track and i liked the beat on the verses. Busta and Waynes flows were damn good, and I liked Browns first verse. Hook was weak to have much radio potential, but I'm sure that given who is on this track, it will get radio play

Ironically, or perhaps not so much, Chris Brown's presence is the thing that ruins the track. Busta and Wayne spit verses that are on par with their superstar status and save the track. Just as CB starts to impress me on his verse it cuts off, leading me to believe that it was a fluke. And the Hook is horrible.

This is BUMPIN right here! Busta Straight MURDERED this track. Chris Brown is showing nice versatility on his latest albums. I am feelin the Breezy Swagga right now. Damn, did I say Busta Straight MURDERED this track? Lil Wayne tore it up too. This is a 5-star colab track for me. Sick $hit!

Chris's first verse was nice, the chorus was probably made for a dancing banger. But Busta and Wayne made this song great! I give it a 4.5

Simplistic, predictable, and likely a rotation record for months to come. I hope, however, that this isn't the direction that Chris is taking his new material.

Wow, dope beat, if a bit annoying. Only thing pullin' this down is Brown's random rapping thing...
Busta and Weezy definitely saved it though. Busta gave me that "HOLY S**T" feeling when the beat dropped. |

Was this chorus written by Sean Garrett? Sounds like something he'd write... And the production sounds like something he and Bangladesh would do.
Speaking of which, the beat is absolutely banging, if not a bit annoying. Only thing pulling this down is Brown's rapping thing... Busta (gave me that 'holy s**t' feeling) and Weezy definitely saved it though. |

Being a Chris Brown fan I'm not pleased with what I'm getting out of this track. Production was simple and boring to say the least. Chris should stick to singing. He is by no means a bad rapper, but whatever Chris was trying to show off in this track failed with me. Busta was pretty good. Definitely better than he has been on some previous tracks I've heard him on. Then there is Weezy who came with a decent verse. I'm gonna have to pass on this one.

The beat is banging, BUSTA straight DESTROYED THIS, he needs to stick to this rhyme scheme that he is known for. Wayne came correct and chris brown damn near ruined the song, BUT his second half of his verse was better where he tried to rap faster. This beat will be freestyled to ALOT.

BUSTA RHYMES! @*#$! that was a sick flow, we need more of that from him. Ive been shocked at how decent of a rapper breezy is. Not sayin he's brilliant but the lad can flow. Weezy brought it as well on this.
Production may be simplistic, but it works so well with all their flows |

Chris Brown isn't a bad rapper, he proved he's decent on Fan of a Fan although I thought that was more experimental than serious. If he's looking for serious sales of his album, I think he should stick to what brought him his success, his singing. Busta's verses are always hit or miss for me and this time he killed it. Wayne was on point with slightly fewer punchlines than usual. The beat is a grower

The point of being and artist is being artistic. Chris Brown experimenting is actually a good thing and on this track its a great thing. He aint no Big Sean and Big Sean aint him so stop comparing. This is Breezy and with Busta's sick verse and Weezy's usual fire...this track is hot.

The best Busta verse I've heard in a long, long time. Goddamn. Take Brown off this track and you've got one of the better flow bangers we've heard in a minute (although the beat's mediocre at best). This is the year Brown either makes his comeback or disappears forever, we'll see.....

This track goes hard. Busta and Wayne murdered it. It's good to see Busta back on his fast flow again. Chris did ok.

This track was crazy, highlighted with a murderous verse from Busta. Weezy like always did his thing. Chris Brown most certainly was aiming for the club with this joint and he without doubt hit the mark. "Oozing Machismo" Razor Ramon.

This is one of the best beats i have heard in a long while. The production is crazy good. And Busta MURDERED this song. Omg he went!!!! As for Chris, he did ok. He was a ok fit for this. And Lil Wayne straight killed his verse. Its good to see him doing this again. Im gonna be listening to this for a very long time. A banger for me but im giving it 5 stars.....

Ehhh.... its a cool song because its collab, but I'm disappointed in Chris Brown he can definitely rap A LOT better than this. Just check out his mixtape with Tyga Fan of a Fan. Weezy had an average verse, no real complaints. Busta really carried this track though.

Chris Brown can do better than this so I can't fathom giving this more than 3 stars. This outer space esque production is meant for Busta to spazz on and Weezy holds his place on this track. Expect to see Lil' Wayne be the most popular feature artist in 2011. It's not suprising.

BUSTA BUST!!! I got to address him first, cause he RIPPED it! Wayne was cool and Breezy was alright to not really be a "rapper". His abrupt stop didn't bother me as much as that wack azz chorus... REMIX PLEASE! The Beat was catchy as hell, I was bobbing my head before I knew... It's a keeper... seems more like a mixtape track than a slot for the album, but who am I to say?
