It will be at least a couple years before every ballad Chris Brown does gets related back to Rihanna, and there’s no doubt that his new single Crawl will be widely viewed as an apology of sorts the woman he assaulted, especially with lyrics like “Everyone says were through, I hope you haven’t said it too.” Drama aside, musically Crawl picks up where Brown left off without missing a beat, letting the teen heartthrob crooner lift his good-but-not-great voice over lush and symphonic production from Nasri. In other words, it’s not groundbreaking, but radio will eat it up. Released just a day after Rihanna’s provocative Russian Roulette, the ties between Brown and Rihanna won’t be ending any time soon. Can the former prince of R&B come crawling back into the good graces of America? We’ll find out when the Booth starts rating this track, and when his new album Graffiti drops on December 15.  Heard this one yesterday on RefinedHype. Nice job with the brother site Z, Nathan, cb and company. I've been checking it out on a regular basis.
Anyways, this should have no problem gathering super-spins on radio. Something tells me that this and "Russian Roulette" are going to be trading the top spot on the Billboard charts; at least if Brown's reputation didn't kill off his radio play. |

Chris Brown is probably the only R&B singer in the game that can consistently make great club songs & slow jam ballads. Production is good & Brown's vocals are top notch.

Yeah like Aussie_Pride said, Chris is very versatile and consistent. I really like a lot of his ballads and I liked this one a lot too. I think he made a mistake but who doesn't. He's just in the spotlight ALL the time. I hope he takes back his throne at the top of the R&B game.

I'd have to agree that Crawl is better than Russian Roulette, but it will be fascinating to see how the assault translates into sales. Will a significant portion of America not buy Brown's album as a statement, or will they have short memories and just buy good music? Only time will tell, but it's a massive music/sociology experiment I can't wait to see the results of.

Oh. My. God. I never thought that I would give another Chris Brown track a classic rating, but this song makes me believe that he is truely sorry for what he did, and even if he isn't, this is still great music. But this and Rihanna's new song are great album tracks, and like everybody else, I can't wait to see how they will play out.

Gotta say Rihanna’s "Russian Roulette" is more unique and daring, while this right here is way more safe but very uplifting and highly relateable. Plus it gets a bodybag treatment by Chris Brown. It’s been in my head all damn day. The only reason this joint will have a tough time getting ahead of Rihanna's is maybe since, she’s the victim. And her cover art is sexier. :p |

Chris Brown normally always has great music. This song I believe is a straight hit. Actually There isn't no denying it, It is a hit. But then again Chris Brown has one shot to get America to forget about what happens. If he doesnt nail it this time it will get extremely hard for him to regain his title as The Prince Of Pop. The song has a great production that suites the singers voice so it is a great combination. I loved Transform ya and I love this song. I will definitely put this on my new Zune HD and I will press replay because it just has that soothing after work just want to relax feel to it.
