The first time I checked out Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (in 8th grade), I was inspired. I tried to do crazy ridiculous ish every day after that, all while doing my best to smooth talk my way out of any trouble. While that didn’t work out too well (being grounded every other week for six months can break a habit quickly), I still think about would it would be like if my life was a Movie. Well, Chip Tha Ripper has answered the question for me with his new single (off his new Family Guy inspired mixtape, The Cleveland Show), and it doesn’t disappoint. Backed by a silky, heavy-bass production from Boi-1da, Chip moves through his day-to-day life on the track, using his talent and some smooth bars to show how good it can be to carry around some thick stacks (“My real life is like paid in full/ I’m just a modern day ace for ya’ll”). For more cinematic hip-hop, check out the The Cleveland Show mixtape, coming soon.

Chip tha Rip never dissapoints. After seeing him live I'm convinced this dude has talent. This is album material worthy, making it a real highlight for a mixtape. Not my fav track from him, but the mastering was great. Chip's flow was fire.

I've been hearing about Chip for a few years, but none of his music ever make an impact after it passed through the DJBooth inbox. Aside from the super mellow production work from Boi-1da, I really dig the overall vibe of this song. I think Chip can bring even more to the table, but as far as Booth premieres go, this should make some noise.

Yeah Chip is tight, but this isn't one of my favorites from him. I thought this was a little slow. Boi 1da's production was nice but I just couldn't stay interested in this one. It isn't bad at all though. Still interested in what else this mixtape holds.

I'm telling you guys that Chip the Ripper is kinda like a Big Deal up here. At U.T. (University of Toledo) everybody always talking bout him.

This track right here is way opposite to what I'm used to hearing from him though. Nice change of pace though...

Chip tha Ripper cool i can't help but think if he might be a little better with less smoke. Just seems like he spits to relaxed. Not hating just a thought, good song.

I think I just caught a contact high listening to this. I'm digging it, though I could have used a little more energy. I'm not asking for Lil Jon, and maybe it's just because it's getting late around here, but this almost put me to sleep.

Too lazy sounding to me. Although chip is talented, this isn't his best stuff.
